    Dirty but cheap DIY charger?

    1. yes it would work 2. they do exist now for the real world application :) power supplies used to be made like this but there are a few issues that prevent a product being made and sold like that any longer. when you design a mains powered device you need to comply with many rules/standards...

    $14.99 72v Sunwin Controller

Had a quick look though this post and it looked like there still isn't any programming software for it. I tried using something i had on my PC for Infineon controllers, i believe, but that didn't seem to do anything.(fair enough ;) ) Which lead me to wonder if i was connected to the right pads...

Help needed building dummy load device

unfortunately there is no such thing. The resistors in the second post will do the job but you will need 4. Yes, you can use 4 switches to give you some variability but do four switches equal a 'pot'? well that's up to you. Heater elements will also work but clearly get very hot, glowing red...

Help needed building dummy load device

No power/cooling mods just re-drilled the two bolt holes to move the 'retarder' closer to the wheel as the 20 inch couldn't reach. I have only been using it to do some reasonably low power discharge tests, 500w, but not getting hot at that power. Still a 500 watt resistor will be much hotter ;)...

put it on a trainer and load it up with the throttle to whatever current you want. Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk

    Graphene Lipo's pack

Are there any tests that we can use to identify borderline cells? off the cuff... Would thermal images of a cell under maximum load show any useful information? ie to try identify areas of the cell under higher thermal stress?

Game Changer Page 3 with video of 1700amps!!!!

Always cool Arlo keep it up :) sorry if its covered somewhere but in the hundreds of pages across all your threads i cant remember or find it. do you know what the maximum/saturation current is into the leaf motor? and any idea what torque that will equate to, Kt? thanks

Why Max amperage rising after 1 minutes hard usage?

I'll throw another option into the mix. Permanent magnets loose strength as temperature goes up. Less magnetic field strength at the same RPM will produce less back EMF. Less B-EMF with the same input voltage will result in a greater current flow. more current -> more heat -> less B-EMF->...
