    GPS overlay on video

An update: I figured out which app to use for your phone and how to overlay it on any video you might have. Use this to log all of your data: GPS Logger Android App by Tech Universe Solutions Inc https://goo.gl/pPw8B4 And this is the program that you can overlay the data onto your video...

    Charging a tablet externally

Rather than spend the $60 on a charging board for my Motorola XyBoard (xoom 2), I would like to charge the tablet with an external lithium charger http://goo.gl/N83DfW Also, the module has an adjustable amperage setting, but I cant figure out what the chinese picture means on the listing other...

    ES New Ebikes to avoid

Must be a slow news day at Forbes. You can take the worst of an article and write up an even worse summery.

    Stepper motor controller

I have a few stepper motors laying around, all are 6 wire(bipolar?) and would like to build a wire stripping machine powered by one. Anyone have a recommendation on a controller that can do variable speed? I'm trying to do this on the cheap.

    Homemade Bluetooth speaker

I've run into an odd problem. I have to leave the Bluetooth receiver on because its inside the speaker box. It shares the same ground as the amp, so I can cut power to each, even though they draw two different voltages from the same battery pack. It has its own battery and will eventually die...

    Homemade Bluetooth speaker

I picked up 5 - 8 ohm speakers from a garage sale yesterday and came up with an idea.. It's taken me many hours, but I managed to throw together a bluetooth speaker. I had a DIY 2x15 watt amp kit ( http://goo.gl/KMAL1Z ) that was put on the back burner, a bluetooth receiver and a pile of Elite...

    DIY Shunt

Yep, its a maintenance charge of some sort. That's when I realized my calibration was a little off.. Should have left it alone. Three attempts later, I still can't get the correct length of wire. But I was trying to adjust it while it was still attached to the charger. I'll pull it out and hook...

    DIY Shunt

I tried a 2' piece of 14ga and came up with a few amp reading. After searching around, I came up with no solid wire of a decent gauge. I ended up using some 22 or so gauge speaker wire. I had to fiddle with the distance a little and finally settled for about 1.12". Now that I'm charging the...

    DIY Shunt

Great instructions. Unfortunately, I think I smoked the amperage readout when I first soldered it together. All it reads is 0.0, and that's with trying to adjust the amperage trim. I found some solid copper wire laying around that was 14ga, so I went off the resistance of that wire and with your...

    DIY Shunt

I had a Powerizer smart charger http://goo.gl/QZPavz that I wanted a voltage and amperage readout on. So I installed a cheap combo meter http://goo.gl/gVTYq7 on it. Somewhere down the road, I lost the original shunt for it. Not that I could ram something that large inside the case. So I'm...

    Ebike update

It was just a piece of plywood. Next time I will use kids ski's. And I measured the space within my frame, drew it up in autocad and tried to squeeze the pack inside. No matter how I broke it down, I could not make the cells fit without them hanging out of the sides too far. I thought about...

    Hot Lifepo4 after ride

I put 30 miles on my lifepo4 48v 20ah yesterday and when I checked my pack, it was pretty hot.. I let em cool down for about 2 hours before putting a charge on em. I'm just wondering if that's normal. I've never put that many hard miles on them before(big steep hills). And on a side note, I...

    GPS overlay on video

I have the Sony AS20 and it's a great cam for the price. Seems that the AS30 has the GPS option for information overlay. Even though it's an interesting prospect, you are still limited to their format. An app would be more flexible answer.

    GPS overlay on video

I've seen a few videos on youtube, where they have overlayed GPS data in the form of speedometers, elevation and direction on their video. Does anyone have any recommendations for an android app that can record and export this data so I can drop it on my videos?
