Hi Everyone. So after my problems with the TSDZ2B where the motor failed i was able to send it back. I went on holiday for two weeks and the heat sink plate finally arrived that i didnt have when i first fitted the motor and it got fried. So after reading about other motors the Toseven didnt...
I tried taking the long screws out of the motor housing unit to see the copper windings. I got all but one screw out that was stuck and the head started to wear off. I dont want to do that and then when its returned they complain about that.
I did hook up my old tsdz2 motor to their display and...
I took off the motor and it looks quite ok:

If you are wondering what the brown copper is on the motor is coppaslip grease for the screws so it does not galvanise the aluminium to the steel screw. The screws came out easy...
Good idea i will open it and take a look if the motor windings are fried. If its fried send you a pic of that. I find it hard to believe but maybe as everything else leads to that. It was set low at 10 amps to prevent that happening. I had a tsdz2 about a year ago that i had set at 16 amps and...
I have it set already at 48v choice in the open source UI. The motor is a 48v and the battery 52v 14s model 19 amp hours.

I dont see if there is anything to change in the open source flash program as 48v is already selected as you can see.
Maybe 10 amps is too low...
Hi I hope someone with more tsdz2 maintainer experience can help me figure out what's wrong with this new motor.
Today I tried to repair this new tsdz2b by opening the motor and testing a spare controller i have that i know works as it accepted the open source software and i used it on the old...
I have a brand new tsdz2b that is only a week old that i think already broke with controller problems after it was flashed and worked fine after three rides. It suddenly stopped working near the end of my ride on the way home. I have not seen this problem before.
Its a replacement for an older...
Hi mbrusa,
Thanks you were right. i am a noob.
I adjusted the speed sensor and all is well. Good to know that error code 2 is torque sensor and not short circuit. I don't get that any more as i turn the display on and not sit on the bike/pedals so nothing interfering with the start-up process...
So after having problems with not being able to flash the motor with the Stlinkv2 to set the 52v battery settings. I waited a few weeks and finally a new 48v 8 pin controller arrived for my 48v motor and VLCD5 display. It took an afternoon to open the motor and replace it. Not hard to do but...
Thanks for the reply.
How do you do this L4-E04 "assist with sensor error" setup so I can test it? I googles L4-E04 and did not get any hits.
I don't get any error code on the VLCD5 display. Only one bar of battery and the throttle does not work and motor assist does nothing. I can press the...
Spent some time looking at this non working tsdz2 48v motor today with a 36v battery that i was able to take out for a 1 hour first ride before it stopped working yesterday. See the the previous email above about flashing it and my first ride.
I read again all the setup documents and the java...
Thanks for the tips regarding the flashing problem and also the other tips. I already bought the aluminium heat plate and other items to do the heatsink mod. I use an external temp sensor as i want to be able to use the throttle. 52V battery i am looking forward to ordering now.
I downloaded...
Hi
I saw this project and looks good for a number of reasons.
I have a Bafang BBS01B on my mountain bike and I don't really like because of the cadence sensing and so decided to buy a 48v tsdz2 for the torque with a VLCD5. I reuse my old 36v battery with the 48v motor using the firmware and...
