    WTB Phaserunner

Note: would-be scammers need not message me. If you don't know what version you have or what connectors are on the controller, you don't have a Phaserunner. Looking for a Phaserunner with L1019 or MT connectors. Frankenrunner works too. Located in Oklahoma, US. Thanks!

[Sold] 52V (14s8p) battery for parts - Free - SW Oklahoma

Calling all battery salvagers! I have a 14S8P pack from Luna Cycles with corrosion on a few cells (Panasonic GA 3500s), probably 100 of them are still good. While attempting to diagnose which groups were low/bad (probably just the 1-2 on the bottom), I killed the BMS. Only has ~230 charge cycles...

    [SOLD] Cycle Satiator 48V 8A

Highly interested if you'll ship to US.

I know shipping to US is gonna hurt, but I can't help myself  It's getting warm here and my MAC 8T is already burning up. Is this standard or fast wind? Did you get Statorade too?

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I didn't use the actual kit, nor did I ever install a temperature probe, but I posted about doing the thermal putty mod nearly 2 years ago and certainly noticed that the motor casing got hot after riding (which would indicate that the mod worked). Max power was set to 52V x 18A. In my...

Erider torque voltage output consistency issue

I picked up the T9 (36-pole version) in June and was having similar issues to those described above. Basically, a sufficiently-hard stop with regen (brake switch + throttle) would result in no Hwatts output. I had other issues that I was focused on fixing, so I used basic/cadence mode for a...

    MAC motor worth it?

The 6 magnets rotate past the speed (hall) sensor on the PCB. Mine has the indents but no magnets or sensor. I'm not 100% sure, but I imagine you can swap shells so long as the axle fits thru the bearing.

    MAC GMAC Hot Rod Info

A belated update here: DIY thermistor upgrade was successful. However, the right-side bearings fell apart when disassembling the motor. This is why it's critical that you use the jam-nut on the axle inside the freehub. Otherwise you place excessive lateral forces on the bearing, and eventually...

    MAC GMAC Hot Rod Info

Has anyone added a thermistor or temp sensor to their MAC after purchase? I ordered a pack of NTC 10K B3960s for cheap; the videos/pictures I've seen of MAC/GMAC internals show insulated wires soldered to 2 adjacent pins in the LM35 portion of the PCB, which implies they're using a thermistor -...

    MAC GMAC Hot Rod Info

Well, I'm afraid the ATF won't have time to settle in and attack anything. "Frank" ejected nearly all of the fluid within 24 hours. I probably should have borrowed Bullfrog's lab coat and notes seeing as how he's the scientific one here, but this is what I did: Rode 1.6 miles around the...

    MAC GMAC Hot Rod Info

Despite a wheel rebuild, split open torque washers, and 2200 watts of peak power, the frankenMAC 8T lives with over 2000 miles on the odometer. I have the Baserunner L10 programmed to 40A battery/80A phase and 6A field weakening; that translates to 40 mph on the flats and a personal best of 44.3...

    MAC motor worth it?

Believe it or not, I had Permatex blue on the hardware and it worked for only a short amount of time. Eventually both of my Grin-sourced torque washers split open as well. That was the literal breaking point that led to me hacking a V2 torque arm onto the axle - I have to check nut and hose...

    MAC motor worth it?

Just logged in for the first time in months, wasn't subscribed to replies, anyway... I purchased from Eunorau; it's advertised as an 8T but clearly reads 11T on the motor core. BTW, the clutchless operation is still great with the Grin Phaserunner/Baserunner and electronic freewheeling. Only...

MAC motor temperature sensor - best way to read

A dirty but workable solution would be to cut the wire at the Molex block, take any old multi-wire cable, splice the temp wire, steal an unused ground wire from the controller and splice, then make a 2-pin JST plug at the other end to plug into the CA3. I feel like a crash course in JST...

MAC motor temperature sensor - best way to read

Does it have the 6th pin in the hall sensor connector? Also, what does the CA3 report for voltage in the temperature setup? I'm running 14s but regularly topped 32 mph with a 9x 4110 controller (even faster with the Baserunner). In your case, I wonder if there's a limit set on either the CA3 or...
