Took a few hours, but finally got there...

Had the exact same problem, was about to start stripping the whole bike looking for loose connections but I read this first and disconnected the brake switch wires - straight away the problem was resolved. After putting a meter on the brake switch wires I soon found the problem, loose switches...

Here's my latest build ready for the summer, covered about 50 miles so far and I'm delighted with the handling. Almost hitting about 40mph on a flat road with no peddling. Still have the side panels to attach and then a custom frame bag to keep any rain away from them batteries.

I was thinking about upgrading my 36v 750w ebike kit with a 48v battery and 48v controller. Does anyone know if this would destroy the hub motor ? or would it simply make ther bike faster than it already is ?

This is my 1st ebike, 36v 750 watt rear motor with 3 x 12v 12ah SLA's I will probably upgrade to the more expensive LiFePo4 batteries a few months down the line, but for now I'm getting 28mph for 15+ miles on the straights with no pedaling and a 2-3 hour charge time so I'm content for the time...

Just an update.. After replacing the wire connecting the batteries with some 30 AMP cable the problem vansished! Thanks for the suggestions!

I think I will solder the battery connections and upgrade the battery wire, as I am using 240v lamp cable wire at the moment. I'll see if that makes any difference. Thanks for the recommendations.

Here's the picture its a new kit off ebay I got. It's actually only when I have the throttle at full it happens, when I accelerate, or mentain full top speed - I do both most the time I'm on the bike.
