Folks, Like the topic says... is the firmware the same for the two sizes ? Basically I got a Size 6 controller, but the firmware supplied with the DCF for the motor is labeled Size 4, and I am not sure if that will cause issues. Thanks!

I don't trust Chargery products at all. I've caught my C10325 going over the programmed voltage more than once. And talking to Jason about these problems is like bashing one's head on a brick wall. Just avoid them if at all possible.

I would say don't balance at all unless you can do it actively. Maybe just provide a port for an external balancer to plug into.

No, it's significantly less than 100A. I think 30A is the max I can do. But that BMS can't even keep up with a few amps it seems. Yup. That's basically the question in a nutshell: what can it keep up with :D

Full gas bottle (argon) is like $300 for 250cf (MANY hours of welding), refills are about $50-60. Good Tig welder is easily $3000... so no need to overemphasize the gas as an obstacle :)
