Vernon, CT Bike store wants 1200.00 just for a Schwinn Battery!

Schwinn has discontinued their E-Bikes. I took mine for a ride and it did okay stock. I extra battery in my side bag would make all the difference. When I called to inquire about a battery, I found out the Bikes are discontinued.

Didn't see any 30a controllers. Did have someone recommend a ?computer? by Infineon. Battery ratings that I read about by the numbers don't seem to have more than the stock battery. Should the bike be switched to a rear motor or stay with a front motor? Is there a all around really good kit that...

I too have the Schwinn E8 and would like to know how your upgrades worked out?

I purchased the E8 Searcher and it has a 24v, 10ah stock battery with the 250w front hub motor. What can I do to make it a better E-Bike? By this I mean the motor barely has enough power to climb hills in this area and the Battery only lasts for approx 3.5 miles of the hills. I assume everything...
