The Cycle Satiator, universal charger for the enthusiasts

They *should* be these Lithium-Ion cells (EDIT: No they are not): http://queenbattery.com.cn/our-products/184-lg-f1l-cr18650f1l-18650-3400mah-37v-li-ion-battery-cell.html It's a shark pack from aliexpress and I haven't opened it so I can't be 100% certain about the cells, but if the sellers...

The Cycle Satiator, universal charger for the enthusiasts

Is there any specific reason why the default 100% charge profiles for a 48V lithium battery have the max voltage set at 54.5V instead of 54.6V? Wouldn't 54.6V be better for balancing the battery?

Who here has/uses a Spoke Tension Meter?

Do any of the tension meters work with 10 gauge spokes? My rear wheel has 10 gauge spokes with a hub motor so the spokes are quite short and stiff :P

    Question to owners of KT-LCD3 / LCD6

Thanks for your replies, I'm asking because with my current controller the limiting does not work properly and I've read posts saying that with some controllers/lcd's the speed governor only affects the throttle. And yes, whether limiting the speed in the LCD makes it properly "legal" or not is...

    Question to owners of KT-LCD3 / LCD6

Has anyone actually tried the 'Maximum Trip Speed' -limiting function in the LCD3 / LCD6 settings and does it work properly? I mean, does it limit both the PAS and throttle speeds to whatever you set the value to? I'd like to know this before I buy a new controller and LCD. I know most people...

Correlation between controller watts and maximum amps?

Yeah sorry I did not tell why I want to replace it, the reason why I want to change the controller is that the stock DMHC unit has some issues and a serious lack of features and documentation. One of the issues is that the speed limiting feature does not work (it's buggy and unusable), the...

Correlation between controller watts and maximum amps?

I don't really want any significant power increase, I want to keep it at the 1000W legal limit. I just don't want any less power when I change the controller  . So preferably I would want to keep the power level pretty much the same but if something has to change then it would be better...

Correlation between controller watts and maximum amps?

Gah, yeah I looked at the wrong component :D. So yeah actually my DMHC controller also has only 9 FETs, they are of the type S70N08R. Basically this means that it is likely that the "750W" unit on risunmotor.com is able to push more power to the motor than my stock DMHC supposedly "1000W"...

Correlation between controller watts and maximum amps?

Ok so basically I can't really properly compare the "48V 1000W 22±1A" controller I now have to those two being sold on risunmotor.com based on numbers alone. I would need something like a Cycle Analyst to really see the difference, right? And so the marketed watt ratings don't actually really...

Correlation between controller watts and maximum amps?

I'm searching for a new controller to replace my current "48V 1000W 22±1A" controller by DMHC but I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the power and amp ratings of different controllers... I know that P=U*I so it made sense to me that my current controller would be a 1000W unit since...

Replacing the stock controller on a chinese ebike

Hi and thanks for your reply. Any specific reason why you'd go for a LCD3 instead of LCD6? Isn't LCD6 newer and better (I don't really know, which is why I'm asking :))? Also, if I would buy for example a 48V 26±1A max controller would I need to limit the current draw in the LCD settings...

Replacing the stock controller on a chinese ebike

I'd like to replace the current controller and LCD combo by DMHC on my chinese ebike due to some issues and lack of documentation & features. Any ideas on good replacements? I'd like to keep my current battery and motor and just change the controller and LCD. I am interested in the open source...
