I'm now looking past the BBS02 and onto the hd.. Not sure you would run into heat problems unless you Are running it quite hard. I might as well go with the newer possibly more durable unit. Still reading about It.. Seems to run at a higher rpm and more windings and a higher capacity...

I just priced the Giant stance config on your site (Luna) for the comparable setup and came up with $3000 wo shiping. A far cry from your numbers above.. Looks like the OP did ok with Lectric cycle.. I see some changes to the set up with the hd Motor, but not enough to raise the price $700...

The Luna gravity bike you refer and compare to is a $329 bike from bikes direct vs The $1500 for the Giant stance 2. Not quite a fair comparison..

Thanks for the detailed info and pics.. Great looking bike.. I too like the turn key approach.. As you pointed out, the DIY approach for parts alone is quite costly.. I don't mind paying The extra cost to have it assembled and tested and ready to go.. I'll do the maintenance and upgrades...

I recently bought the izip peak.. After adjusting the bike.. I am now getting more used to it. The thing is fast.. I really would like a TAG option on mine.. But the mid motor sensing systems Do a good job for the most part. The thing is hard on the gears and chain.. I am doing better shifting...
