CUTE geared hub motors from bmsbattery/ecitypower

Hi Lynchy, First, I dismantled the left axis. Then I simply removed some metal on a lathe. And finally I extended the two flat sides by means of a file. It's really simple, though you need a lathe, or someone in the neighborhood who has one. Good luck. Edmond.

    Nice e-bike with hidden batteries

Hi Folks, Have a look at this bike: http://www.engadget.com/2009/11/20/grace-e-motorbikes-are-ultralightweight-german-and-very-expens/ This is precisely how I think it should be done: the batteries hidden in the top-, down- and seat-tube. Cheers, Edmond.

CUTE geared hub motors from bmsbattery/ecitypower

I had the same trouble with my '100mm' motor. Actually, it was 108mm wide. However, after some 'machining', it does fit into a 102mm fork. See picture at mark A.

CUTE geared hub motors from bmsbattery/ecitypower

Hi Lynchy, Thx for the pictures. But I'm also surprised that they look the exactly same as the Protanium motors. CUTE geared hub motors from bmsbattery/ecitypower

Hi Lynchy, I mean this website: http://www.ananda.com.cn/anandaenglish/product_list.asp?id=321 and, please, look at the small six bolts on some of the picture, while other pictures (that is, taken from a different angle) have no such bolts. Doesn't that make you suspicious? Are these picture...

CUTE geared hub motors from bmsbattery/ecitypower

You're welcome. At first, I was puzzled too. :? Hi Lynchy, Same as Ananda motors? Perhaps. But have a closer look at their website and you will discover that the pics are inconsistent: In some cases the side panel is threaded, in other cases it's bolted. IOW, it stinks. As for the...

CUTE geared hub motors from bmsbattery/ecitypower

Hi Lynchy, I've a made special tool to turn the side panel off. See pic. BTW1, this hub motor from Protanium (definitely not my first choice). BTW2, the other 6 holes are intended for a Tongxin motor (again, not my first choice). Regards, Edmond.
