    Daly BMS Problem (150A/72V 20S)

I have the same DALY problem with FET shutoff. I saw it happen when the temperature dropped below 8C, but when back in the garage at 16C the motorbike worked again. I'm still investigating why. It is possible to connect a PC program called PC master, you can then read more parameters and update...

Help! Anyone recognise this Sevcon-style controller from China?

Yes, that's it, thanks Kaudio! :D The same product and name is shown on one video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPCjKuY65fI Unfortunately no idea what he's talking about or where he ordered it from. I couldn't find the product on Alibaba or Aliexpress. May I ask for a bit more help...

Help! Anyone recognise this Sevcon-style controller from China?

Hi, I got a new electric motorcycle from China and was looking to do some programming of the controller, but unfortunately I can't find any info about it (and forget the seller, knows nothing of course). Google translates the label in many ways, strangest is 'Nanjing Yuan takes the Tongshui...

    Cezeta electric scooter

Hi, after 3 years of development, the renaissance of Čezeta is finally happening with the new type 506. Basic specs are... - Panasonic batteries 6kWh, in-house BMS with a realistic range of 150km - class A1 up to 11kW power, top speed 123km/h - variable recuperation via our own 2-way throttle...

Will KEB72800 Kelly Controller work at 36V?

Hi everyone, I have an electric scooter with 36V 60Ah pack. On the Kelly controller I got it said "24-72V" so I assumed that's OK. But now I see in the manual it says that the nominal voltage is 72V? Just one more question about matching it to motors, what would be a good kW? It weighs 140kg...

How to team new Domino throttle to Kelly Controller?

Thanks for your advice, all clear now. The built-in microswitch is a useful improvement on the Magura. I haven't looked at the Kelly setup in detail yet, but hope that we will be able to use it to disable the regen (which otherwise operates on throttle release). The Vectrix throttle would be a...

How to team new Domino throttle to Kelly Controller?

Hi, it looks like the Domino throttle would be an improvement on the often-used Magura in terms of quality build. But I read that the Domino throttle runs on 12V supply... does this mean it can't be paired with a Kelly controller that sends only 5V, and expects 0-5V signal back? Thanks for any...

Analog fuel gauge for Emus BMS?

Hi Circuit, Yes, thank you. Upgrading to the newest software (Jan 2014 release) keeps SOC on. We tested the amp/SOC and changed the L value to make it more accurate. You're right though, it actually doesn't make that much difference, we're being a bit picky to be honest. Thanks for the advice...

Analog fuel gauge for Emus BMS?

Hi, we are using Emus BMS control panel v2.0.1 connected to BMS version 2.0.4 and it appears that the unit will not preserve SOC information after power on-off. We always see SOC changed to 0% on restart. Does anyone have experience of this problem? PS. Whilst we are talking about SOC, we...

Analog fuel gauge for Emus BMS?

Hi circuit, I just heard back from the company that makes the 'Smiths Flight Gauge' about connecting it to the Emus BMS. They said: "The standard Flight fuel gauge is set up for a resistive sender, 10 ohms at empty to 180 ohms at full. So, this could theoretically be driven by pwm... The...

Analog fuel gauge for Emus BMS?

Hi circuit, thanks for your advice so far.. we built the SOC circuit as you described and that is great, but there is another problem now that is quite basic - it looks like the Emus BMS does not retain SOC charge info on power off! We setup with initial SOC = 60%, this was recognised on the...
