Finished my TSDZ2 conversion, but can't get the speedo to work. I think I have the magnet close enough, any ideas?
Also, what's with the gap on the under side of the motor? Just noticed that.
I ran into a problem installing my motor. There is a mounting flange on the motor that restricts the amount of space between the motor and the bottom bracket. Unfortuniatly, a have botha derailleur cable and a hydraulic brake hose that comes out from the down tube and passes under the bottom...
Wow, great post! I'm 64 and building my first ebike. It's on a new Specialized Roll Elite which is a beefy comfort style bike. Like you, I ride for exercise and enjoyment, but need a little help on the ever growing hills and strong winds. I have a 48v 500w TSDZ2 coming next week. Hope it's not...
Motor is a TSDZ2, 48v 500w
Bike is a Specialized Roll Elite comfort bike.
Lots of small to medium hills around here. Riding on paved bike trails and secondary roads. I'm 64 and weigh about 185. I ride for exercise and adventure.
Building my first ebike and the place I was going to buy the battery from is out and they have no clue when they will be available.
Looking for a non Chinese 48v battery in the dolphin case.
What battery connectors come on this motor? Looking at getting the 48v 500 w version and a 48v dolphin pack from Luna. They recommend their XT 90 connectors. Thoughts?
Trying to finalize my order for the TSDZ2 from PSWpower for a 48v motor and I see there are two choices, a 500w, or a 750w. Why would I choose one over the other?
Also they are asking for the BB size of either 68, or 73. I thought one kit would fit both, right?
Is it a big deal if you can't use the kickstand mounting area to secure the motor? I really want to use a kickstand and the ones that mount in the rear interfear with my disk brakes.
