    Is my LiPo toast?

You guys will hate me. I charged the pack anyways as a 3S pack. The last cell acts like a short. Probably the last time I'll use this battery. Going to wait for a sale on this multistar pack

    Is my LiPo toast?

Looks more and more like the tab blew off on of the cells. I went out and bought a DMM. The pack voltage is 12v (rounded up for simplicity). So one of the cell is dead. Can I cut the red wire and charge it as a 3s pack?

    Is my LiPo toast?

The charger is fine. Its not just the Balance Leads (if they were bad), I think you guys are right... the Tab may have blown off. The total voltage is 11.7v for this 4s pack. $75 (plus taxes and shipping) for a new multistar pack on Hobby King :x Not to interested in opening up the pack and...

    Need Help Troubleshooting Controller

So I bought a new controller... didn't fix it... So then I bought a new throttle. FIXED IT!

    Is my LiPo toast?

So I accidently left my serial harness on my 3 pack of LiPo's when I plugged the balance leads into my parallel charging board. First balance lead was fine. The moment I touched the second balance lead on the board, a HUGE spark. The positive pin on the JST-XH connector is all black now. So I...

Building Custom Li-Ion for Currie eZip Trailz

Long over due update. My Currie eZip Trailz is still going strong. Throttle broke and it took me months to troubleshoot. I did crack the battery in half took an exacto knife literally cut that battery into a 7s. Used my bmax charger to coax each bank back to life. Really low current, and...

    Need Help Troubleshooting Controller

23V is pretty dead, but i've been able to ride on my 6s lipo before. But I figured out the problem. It was a broken throttle. I've been running overvoltage (29v) so maybe that broke it.

    Need Help Troubleshooting Controller

I have a currie ezip trails (post 2009). To turn it on, there is a switch on the back that turns it on. Before it died, I would have to flick it back and forth a few times for the battery indicator lights to show on the throttle. Eventually, no matter now much I flicked the switch on and off...

Building Custom Li-Ion for Currie eZip Trailz

Hahaha sorry I'm a bit dyslexic So I was able to pull the BMS off. Looks like a Diode blew. Maybe that's why each bank was allowed to discharge 0.11-0.20V. I hope I can still recover them when I charge it with my iMax B6

Building Custom Li-Ion for Currie eZip Trailz

I want to keep the whole thing in tact as a 48V pack. It's already spot welded and packed up pretty neat. If I have to pull them all out and break the welds, I can just pick up one of these: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/536657

Building Custom Li-Ion for Currie eZip Trailz

So I cracked up my batter and found it to be a 13P12S pack using 18650C4 cells. Measured the voltage of across the + and - terminals and it measured 2V!!!!! Each bank of cells measured about 0.17V I want to balance charge it with my iMax B6 charger. Can I charge each bank of cells individually...

Building Custom Li-Ion for Currie eZip Trailz

I've been reading the forums, and the post-2009 Currie eZips controllers don't work with batteries over 24v. If you want to go higher, you have to replace the controller and throttle. Maybe I'm understanding it wrong. I'm not too knowledgeable with circuits and electricity. Here is a post that...

Building Custom Li-Ion for Currie eZip Trailz

I got a Li-ion pack with bad cells from work today! It's in a nice case already, and I have a controller too to charge it. Only problem is that it's 48V! I will have to break it up and rewire it to be 24V. There is a security screw that I can't take off. Ordering the new bit off amazon. I...
