Not heard of anyone overvolting but in the last year Tongxin controllers seem to have become far more reliable. Many have been sold on Cytronex bikes and as kits with no reported failures. My latest one is going strong, without wishing to tempt fate.

My controller has arrived too (thanks Brett!), I've tested it and it works. Turns the motor from a standing start, no problems. I'll now re-build the bike! Frank

My first controller did that. I then found that the SLA battery I had been using to test the Tongxin had been damaged in some way that it popped fuses whenever it was connected to anything. Frank
