Custom frame for the Cyclone Coaxial motor

I will step in for discussion purposes. Thanks Joe and good pionts, you are right about the bearings are a good solution in this application (if proper machined after welding and really good looked after). But lifespan is short and must be changed frequently, on failure they really often jam up...

Custom frame for the Cyclone Coaxial motor

So you are flexing the hole rearend(swingarm). With all these edges inside, cracking will start there. My experience out of 22year riding the sh.... out of two wheelers---dont get to fancy with suspension itself. As long as rearwheel travel goes kinda linear with shocktravel it will ride...

Custom frame for the Cyclone Coaxial motor

Haha, i know this loose concept things pretty damn good! (piles of them in my workshop) Unfortunately iam sticking with Fusion360 atm. otherwise it would be easy to mod some things. maybe the fastest way is a good sideview from your designs and with the good old fashion way in"paint" i...

Custom frame for the Cyclone Coaxial motor

Sorry missed the new posts...that looks really sweet! is the pivotpiont in the chainline? If its higher or lower will lift up or pull down the rearwheel...something to consider at 3kw, maybe ;-) sharp edge from the horizontal bar to the short round bar(swingarmpivot) will be a weak piont too...

Custom frame for the Cyclone Coaxial motor

Have a look here https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=106778 the stepdown bend prevents from thermal expansion in all directions. as far as my knowledge goes, was/is that a big reason cells are failing in a pack.

What could be wrong with my bike?

Here are all information in the forum to be Electric-drivetrain-magician! Measurements is what you need(others to help). First measure resistance of each motor phasewires to the others...same on unpluged controller, but phasewires to negative and positive(just to double check). Also check...

What could be wrong with my bike?

in your second pic 2 phasewires are touching the stator, so i would start there.

Custom frame for the Cyclone Coaxial motor

Hey Chambers, great looking bike and mint design skills! looking forward to see the prototype running. Maybe consider mounting the shock to toptube(less stress for the mainframe) and the rearend pivot piont in the seattube(mentioned before) with the full width of your frame(thats the weak point...

Let's design a body for a Rhoades Car

Hey John, maybe mosquito is something for you. the tilting mechanisms looks really slick : I had quite some 3 wheller, but for my self there are more disadvantages in space and stability then with 4. And the jk velo2 is also going for 4 wheels and suspension. But your 2 wheel idea with some...

Let's design a body for a Rhoades Car

Hi Guys, i am also keen in building a high tech full suspension 4wd ...let´s say pedalcars (velomobiles). one of the most exciting designs i think is this: and for making an relatively easy body, foam with polygon design might be the material of choice like: www.jk-velo.de.rs for...
