    Ping batteries and regenerative charging

Hiya all. I just thought I'd give a bit of a follow up to the regen on the ping battery. I activated the regen on the 25A infineon controller that came with the nine continents kit and just left the controller wired direct to the power output of the battery. i.e. no diode, and no connection to...

    Ping batteries and regenerative charging

looks good, cool. I see the right hand axis is the individual cell voltage, but what is the left hand one? I still haven't had a test yet of my setup with the regen activated yet, (NZ wet winter time) but will post a results update when done. Greg

    Ping batteries and regenerative charging

Thanks for doing that Kiwi.. that explains everything, looks like it would be fine for me to just connect without the diode now. I live in a fairly flat place so it is only usual braking for traffic lights and corners that takes place. I may disconnect the cutout wire from the front brake handle...

    Ping batteries and regenerative charging

Hmm.. yes. I am thinking I don't know enough about the internals of the BMS to assume it should be OK without a diode so I think I will indeed follow Pings diagram. If I could just plug it in without the diode and see what happened then it would be interesting, but if it isn't charging right I...

New Infineon Controllers Ebike.ca RE: Auto Cruise

Hiya.. I have a 6 month old 25A infineon controller that came without this feature enabled. Can I thus enable this feature on my unit?

    Ping batteries and regenerative charging

yeah, thanks guys. My thoughts too. I would think given the wee amount of time that the current is exceding 5A is real small and even then the battery looks like it should cope with 10A anyway fine. Other LiFePos quote more charging rates of 3C possible. Is there something different about Pings...

    Ping batteries and regenerative charging

Hiya all Has anyone had any experience with running the new version 2.5 ping batteries with regenerative? Pings notes say to add a reverse current blocking diode in line with the power wires, and connect these wires together with the charging wires so any regen currents gets sent via the BMS. I...

    German 60 mph E-Bike Blacktrail : €59.500

OK.. working it out at 3.7Kw might get the bike to 90kph if the person on it was a very small 50kg in a full crouch position. Maybe it is a theoretical max top speed if the person was some sort of aerodynamic mutant :) 3.7Kw would make it quite fun though. I see the Ah rating is 17 so the...

    German 60 mph E-Bike Blacktrail : €59.500

heya all. I'm knew to this forum so Hi!.. been watching a while and just built my first ebike.. anyway was looking at the Black Trail on the net.. it seemed like a bit of have so searched for "black trail lies" and here I am. Doesn't feel good for my first post to be a bit negative as the Ebike...
