I bought an 500W MAC/9 FET IRFB4110 INFINEON CONTROLLER ebike kit from cell_man a few years ago. Last night the bike started to act strange. When light throttle applied, the motor makes a high pitched whine and doesn't start. If I try repeatedly, it will sometimes engage, but stop very...
Dnmum, how do i check that?
i just rode 15 miles into work. more observations:
At the start of the trip, the pull is negligible, but as I go farther and farther, it gets worse.
The steering seems 'mushy'.
When using the disc brake at low speeds, the steering seems very mushy.
This problem...
The axle nuts are very tight, and I used c washers in the lawyer lips. The old fork was a rigid chromoly, the new one is an RST Capa alloy suspension fork. Oh, and I added a disc brake with 160mm rotor. I'll check the head stem bearings. Thanks
I have a 500w front MAC hub motor. I recently changed the fork and now the bike has started to pull first to one side then to the other with a frequency of about 1 to 2s, only under power. It's a slight pull, and only noticeable at 20mph and up. I bent one of the hall wires when...
Iperov, I wonder how safe that is? Some forks might not be strong enough to handle disc brakes. Good idea though. I wonder what Chalo would have to say about it...
Ykick, I'm worried that they are showing a pic of a 24" wheel with 3" tires (like they mention in the description). So my main concern is vertical clearance between the top of the tire and the bottom of the crown!
I just got an RST Capa with a 1" steerer for my old Bridgestone MB5 ebike, and ordered a BB7 with 200mm rotor. After ordering the 200mm rotor, I checked the RST website, and they say 160mm rotor max. What risk am I running if I use a 200mm rotor? Fork failure? Wheel coming out of dropout...
