    Cycle Analyst Beta 2.1 Experiments

Vax, which bluetooth module are you using? I hv got this : http://zefiryn.tme.pl/dok/a04/btm222_datasheet.pdf I hope one day to be able to get the CA data into my Iphone via bluetooth. Next Iphone firmware (early summer hopefully) should allow this. Please report your progress

    Cycle Analyst Beta 2.1 Experiments

Hurray... it worked...  I bought a PICkit2 and successfully patched the CA to 2.1 First there was some frustration since i could not get the Programming software for the PICkit working under Parallels on a Mac. It did not communicate, even the USB-Monitor showed the...

    BMC600/CLite 40A/CA build - CA settings?

Hi, please read carefully the manual.http://www.ebikes.ca/drainbrain/Cycle_Analyst_Manual.pdf The default values should work nicely with your setup / controller. Check the wiring of the throttle override (diode!) Hard reset should set all values to default This is accomplished by continuing...

    Much Ado About Logging...

Great ! Have a look at http://www.b-icycle.com/home.html hook-up a CA with something like : http://tme.pl/dok/a04/btm222_datasheet.pdf and use your Iphone as: GPS, Maps, Music, Video, Data Logging, setting speed limit, current limit...

New Iphone firmware should open bright future as ebike comp

Since data communication via dock or bluetooth will be possible with new Iphone firmware, the world needs a brushless controller, which sends data / can be configured via bluetooth. Imagine the functionality of the CA shown on a bright display of an Iphone, music, GPS, maps ... and possibly...

    Kelly vs typical brushless controllers

I bought two Kelly 50A expecting to run them in torque mode. After lots of experimenting / firmware updates, my conclusion is that there is not so much difference. I expected to have full control of current in torque mode , means : If current limit is set to 30A (internal paramater in config)...

    Kelly controller in "Torque" mode

you are using the CA set to 10A ? If i set my CA to limit current /torque, then everything works fine. I expected the Kelly controller to do the same : to limit the current as per throttle position. But it does not. In torque mode it still controls speed. Unfortunately

Adding motor to Rohloff disk tabs?

Just in case this of interest to anybody... I had the pleasure to talk to Mr. Rphloff himself about a year ago about restrictions in torque for his hub. He mentioned that there is a big difference between the constant load of an electric motor and extreme peak torques caused by heavy powerfull...

    Konion 37v 1,600ft Regen Experiment

Regen with the Crystalyte controller? I am confused. Why did you start your experiment at a status of more than 40V? If you had 35V and keep your Regen current at around 6A you should never reach dangerous voltage levels. I am using a Kelly controller (not yet utilising regen because of...

    Kelly controller hook up?

Please be careful ! The negative pole must be connected directly to the controller ! Never put any fuse / contactor / switch in between ! The manual clearly states that. The controller will blow, if connection to Minus pole of battery is lost / cut !

How to tighten up CA speed limit?

I had the same effect. It is purely a result of the PI parameters, there is nothing wrong with hardware or fimware ! Just be patient and try different settings . I got my setup working perfectly without any fluctation. I wished i had noted down my proceeding / the results at different setting...
