    Help! Batteries discharging quickly

I'm going to try another ride tonight. I know lead is old tech but its what it came with. Can anyone recommend a lithium or more reliable pack in the 84-96v 20+ah capacity? thanks for the advice everyone

    Help! Batteries discharging quickly

Thanks for the tips guys. More info: The batteries are all less than a year old 7 12v 20ah SLAs in series. The bike was just manufactured last year as well. All packs measure ~13.4v individually after charging. I put the bike on a stand and put the throttle to max, it ran for 70kms before...

    Help! Batteries discharging quickly

Hey everyone, My ebike was working fine a few weeks ago, id get 30kms/charge, id plug it in every night and use it every morning. I'm experiencing a problem now when I accelerate the bike hits its low voltage cutoff (74v) within seconds, I can barely get up to 20km/h before it happens. My...

84v low voltage cut off and...

Yes that is the case. If for example the multimeter reads 90v the voltmeter reads 89v and the controller on the app reads 84v

84v low voltage cut off and...

So I'll set the controller to cutoff at around 73v, so it'll cut off if I'm in the throttle. It should be 3-4v higher since the app reads low I have a pretty good multimeter so I'll trust that over the app The charger I have tops out at 101.8v (84v smart charger) I've definitely considered...

84v low voltage cut off and...

Thanks for the response, it's 7 SLA batteries It's one of the Bluetooth controllers (yuyangking app), 90v is just an example but. It generally read 3v-5v power than the voltmeter, Im just not sure if I should set the cutoff based on the voltmeter or what the controller tells the app it sees

84v low voltage cut off and...

Quicky question, I've got 7 12v 20ah batteries in series (84v 20ah total) What should I set my controller to for low voltage cut off? Also is the low voltage cutoff value suppose to be measure while on the throttle (under load) or when I'm stationary (no load)? And last question, my...

72v or 84v with 90v high voltage cutout

Ended up getting lucky and find an 84v programmable controller. All 101.8V will be utilized now!

Ebike not working with addition 12v battery

Thank you everyone for the information! I got extremely lucky today and got an 84v 1000w Bluetooth programmable controller. Wired it up and it's running mint. For anyone who reads this, looks like my controller has a high voltage cutoff and doesn't let the controller run over 89.9V. I had to...

72v or 84v with 90v high voltage cutout

Long story short I have a 72v ebike(500w hub, SLA 20ah batteries 6 12v in series), the controller has 100v caps and 24 100v FETs, I put a 12v batteries in series to go up to 84v, but the controller won't run the bike when it detects over 90v because of the high voltage cutoff (bike is ~101.8v...

Ebike not working with addition 12v battery

Stock it'll go 52km/h, I'll get around 30km range (up and downhill riding, I weight around 175lb), with the extra 12v it'll go 60km/h

Ebike not working with addition 12v battery

Usually drops 1-3volts under full acceleration depending on how fast I'm already going. I'm not sure what the controller specs are I can't find much info on it

Ebike not working with addition 12v battery

Also, can anyone recommend a 84v+ ebike controller with regen? Without regen is ok too but If I'm upgrading I want to try the regenerative braking functions

Ebike not working with addition 12v battery

Good read, thank you. So I should avoid being around ~70V (which sucks cause the hike only goes when it gets down to 90v) Is ~70V while I'm not moving/no load or ~70V while I'm moving/WOT?

Ebike not working with addition 12v battery

It appears she's running now. Ran the bike a bit with just 72v and ran the other battery in a power wheels toy. She cuts out around 90v. Looks like I'll need a new controller. Also what should the low voltage be for 84v 20ah sla batteries? I don't want to damage anything by running it dry
