Thanks for the explanation!!
I do notice a "sag" in performance. I would love to go with the 36V Ping pack.
After more digging I found the actual model (Brushless)...
Thanks
Is there a rule of thumb for the voltage on a 180W motor?
Ping recommends 300W-500W motor for a 36V pack should I be worried?
Would a 36V Nimh vs LiFepo4 gives the same performance, if not, what is the % difference?
My bike bike now:
180W motor (I'm not sure if its brushless or brushed chinese made)
24V Nimh
and an Unknown controller (stock)
I would like to upgrade the battery only to gain extra speed.
Could I put a 36V on this motor/controller or am I risking a burnout? How risky is this procedure...
Would someone be kind enough to explain what type of chargers are interchangeable? It is definitely surprising to see that you can use an old fashion SLA charger to charge a LiFePo4.
For example if I have a Nimh Charger could I also use it to charge an SLA or a Nicad of the same voltage?
Can you show me a link? I have searched high and low for a Nicd, Nicad, Nimh 24v pack but didn't see much.
I found this Li 11.1V 2200mAh 10C Lipo for $20. 8 of these do nicely for $160. What do you think...
I have been looking at Nimh and Nicad packs online. They have one connector for charger, another for discharge, and one set for thermal. My current pack only has one charger and discharge terminal. Could I just modify the new pack to have only one 3-prong terminal?
I've been following your posts for a while. Thanks a lot for your inputs. I have seen you suggest going to SLA considering the price. Right now my Nihm gives me about 10 miles or so range. I would like to add another 10 to that. What is the cheapest way of doing that? If you have specific...
I have been following this forum for while and finally made a purchase. Thanks everyone! I have a few questions at the bottom; your help is greatly appreciated.
I have this bike in FLAT BLACK:
Known Specs: Greenline EB-1820
Electric Powered with Pedals Assist or Pedals Only
Motor – 180...
How is your Mongoose? I would love to hear about it. I've been searching high and low for someone with actually experience. How easy is it to switch out the battery on this guy?
Just to be sure, this is your bike correct...
Sorry for this total newbie question:
I have this: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5662772
Lets say I get 3x12V SLA and install it in series on my bike...
