new Chinese conversion mid motors that nobody knows ?

Just to clarify on this . I have sourced many things from Taobao/Aliexpress/Alibaba for years so I believe I know enough . Taobao: China's amazon. They are not solely wholesalers. They are a mixture of factories , online resellers and just normal online shops. They converse in mainly Chinese as...

Bafang BBS02b 750w controller loss of power

This is a 5 month old controller , Fully stock. It was working well with no signs of failure. Till today. I went out for a short grocery ride , after just 5 minutes , power cut out suddenly. I mainly use the phone app SPEEEED as a display but I didn't as it is still powered without the display...

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

Mine's a BBS02 too , Didn't exactly get your issue . But mine was that it kept stuttering . Full power then turns down and over and over again . I've reverted to the original Bafang firmware.

Lowering it 20amps didn't do the trick either so yea . If it did exceed the limit , the BMS would shut it off but it didn't

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

Just my luck this didn't work for me , but I was wondering. Since you've mentioned that the the amperage is just software limited as BBS02 could be raised to 33amps. Would it be possible to remove the limit on the stock firmware somehow ? As I was thinking to get a BBSHD controller instead of...

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

Ok . I've tried without display . Same symptoms . And then I suspected if the battery wouldn't be able to take the higher amperage. Which couldn't be the case as it's a 40amp peak.

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

Yep , Display still gave constant crazy readings and the motor just being intermittent. I tried giving it full power from a stop , it struggled so hard , it just stopped working for a second or 2 .

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

Just brought it out for a ride. For the Speeed app users, 1. the temperature sensor in walk mode doesn't work as I don't think the app has a walk mode. 2. when you try to connect , it'll say its unable to connect and come up with an error and say it's disconnected , but it's connected. 3...

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

Roger that . Thanks ! Now am doing it now. For some reason the software is struggling to check my MCU.. It's just stuck at 'checking target MCU' even when i power off and on.. (Using the USB port straight from my motherboard resolved it.)

Can I replace my BBS02 motor core / rotor with a BBSHD?

I'm not 100% sure if the controller would work . I've asked around and has only found one user that reported that the BBSHD controller fits .

BBS-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD/BBS02 Controller

Amazing job man. One question though . I've read your reply that the SPEED app no longer works . Does that mean It will no longer work as a display as well? I use it primarily as my main display as I broke my other displays due to water ingest.
