    "Extended Range Mode" via C/A?

I do have the DP version, equipped with the Lyen they work pretty well together. What's this 3 speed switch you're talking about? It just limits the range of the throttle then? Thanks!

    "Extended Range Mode" via C/A?

Hey guys, I've got a rebuilt Ezee Cadence that's running off of a 58V lifepo4 (48V operating range) and a 500W Ezee front mounted motor (its a 250W at 36V which was its original operating range before updating it) and a Lyen controller (A 6FET I think, whatever the lowest is). While my normal...

Help! Getting electricity into wheel (Video explanation!)

Hey guys! Got a technical problem for you all, to make things easier I just recorded a video: B_Iuz_P3gKE I'm trying to utilize the power I have from the battery and avoid sticking a battery pack inside the wheel to power the LED lights around the rim, just as I think it's tacky and might...

Normal/optimal operating range for my setup?

Fantastic, that's great to know. Since the C/A doesn't limit watts, should I keep the amps limit to 20A? Would that help restrict the wattage during wot? Or should it be just watching my speed as I climb hills. And thanks for helping. :)

Normal/optimal operating range for my setup?

I've got the 6FET Lyen controller and I've got the CA/DP limited to 20A at the moment. Maybe it's 22A. I forget. If I limit the amps that will restrict intitial acceleration but not affect speed, eh? Yeah, I'd love to add another battery in the long run. According to the guy who made my...

Normal/optimal operating range for my setup?

Hey everyone! Second full day of commute on my rebuilt ezee Cadence using a Lyen controller, 48V 10ah LiCo battery from hitekbikes, a 350W ezee brushless geared motor, a cycle analyst, and a holmes hobbies throttle. As this is my first project, I'm not sure what the normal or optimal...

Bluetooth Headset for the electric bike

I bought one! Got the HD version off of ebay, even though it looks like not much difference between the two. I'll post again when I've had some time to test it out! :) ~joel

Bluetooth Headset for the electric bike

You know what, I had one of those a few years ago and ended up selling it. Crazy! How did it do for making calls, not just for listening to music? Was there are lot of wind noise?

Bluetooth Headset for the electric bike

Hey all. Does anyone use a bluetooth headset for talking on the phone while riding? I've seen several motorcycle bluetooth headsets that are designed to work with wind noise and such, but some of them are for protected full face motorcycle helmets and not for the more traditional open bicycle...

    Ebike Lighting battery drain

All right, according to the C/A I'm running at about 22W drain with everything on, which is about what you predicted. Is this a bit ambitious to be running both the lights and the motor from the same battery? Thanks! ~joel

    Ebike Lighting battery drain

That's not a bad idea, though one of the nice things about having it wired into the main pack is that it turns on and off when I turn the key. The idea would be to run the headlight and taillight only during the day (which is about a .5A to .6A draw) and then during the night commute back to...

    Ebike Lighting battery drain

Thanks for the replies, guys! Yeah, I'm actually running at 12V DC thanks to the 12V 20 watt converter I got from ebikes.ca. I don't remember what the wattage on the C/A is telling me, I should definitely check. If it's running 1.6A at 12V is that still a significant drain? Here's another...

    Ebike Lighting battery drain

Hey guys! Quick relatively n00b question. I'm doing a sweet Tron bike build using an ezee Cadence and some new hardware. I'll post some more complete pictures later. In the meantime, all the fancy lighting is drawing 1.6Amps according to the cycle analyst zero'd out at when the lighting is off...

not a happy mac motor - help needed

Same here. The cycle analyst is giving me numbers through the roof. I'm even worried that there's too much draw on the new battery with all the unexpected load.

not a happy mac motor - help needed

Indeed it does. Heard from Lyen yet? Are you getting a high current draw from the motor? It wouldn't be an issue of the motor having too much draw during initial acceleration so that the controller shuts off power? From when I used it last night, it seemed to accelerate fine as long as I went...
