    Ping Charger Replacement?

Thanks for all the reply's. From what Dogster states, I should really be getting the voltage up to 45 so the two listed so far that will do that are the Mean Well that looks really nice but is kind of pricey (unfortunately, that matters), or what appears to be an OEM replacement that Mundo...

    Ping Charger Replacement?

Hi gang, been a long time since I have had to come here with a question. Over 5,000 miles now and thanks to all the info I have garnered here I have not had a problem I couldn't fix lately but it looks like the charger that came with my Ping 36 V Life is done. I really can't wait on the slow...

Winter Riding "Often or Not" Is it safe?

My bike is my ride year round. Warm clothes, studded tires and a frozen river = good fun.

Direct question, can an overweight guy try this?

IMHO A shifter is a $15-$20 item. Just change it out during the build process. Not a big deal and then you don't have to keep messing with it. Then again, I have a 30 year old broken barrel shifter on my bike  But I don't mind having to mess with it and I don't run it indexing.

    diagnostic help

Thank you my friend, just what I needed! The fete on the positive side of green wire is showing short. Am going to go for the fete replacement myself. I have a friend who does audio work and said he would give me a hand getting it off the board. I'll start searching but does any one know a...

    diagnostic help

Yea D-man, I meant hall sensor wires. I was a big chocolate mess when I made the first post. Late, broken bike, needed to be four places yesterday etc. Calmed down a little this afternoon and took another stab at it but I am still stumped. It obviously isn't a main power line because the...

    diagnostic help

Hi gang, after almost a thousand miles since my last major break down, I am unable to determine my current problem and looking for some ideas to move forward. I have a 9c kit with a 36/20 ping and a CA. I was just riding along and suddenly lost poser to the rear wheel. I know my battery is...

    I need advice-which hub motor

Just wanted to say that I think your bike is looking most excellent! The bag looks much better but remember, you are going to have to figure a way to secure it so it doesn't bounce and jiggle. Think about building a hard (wood, plastic, mettle) box inside the leather bag so you you have...

Big dog vs ebike. Dog won.

That's funny, my doctor just calls it a new home for more arthritis to set in  Heal well and beware the smiling nurse with the green sponges!

I'm going to sell this. Any advice would be great.

Wess apparently feels that unless your bike looks like a high schooler on acid went nutty with some duct tape and has the safety factor of a 76 Pinto it isn't a "real" bike. That is a sweet clean bike and I know here with several collages near by, you could advertise it for $500 and maybe take...

I finally bought something! 9C and Ping

Can't go wrong with a nine C and a Ping. Standard recomendo here and I went with it myself. The part you are not going to like to hear is that your bike really isn't the best choice. If you can, try to find a standard double triangle front only suspension bike. Something like the Treck 800...

    build thread: klein mantra hs3540 5kW 70km/h 20" (done)

I've been following this thread from the beginning as I have a Mantra that I am looking to convert. Exemplary job! I'm afraid I wont be able to mimic the advanced machining you have done here but it has given me some great ideas. If you had made the bottom bracket higher, imagine how high the...

This is my gas motor assisted, peddle less, quad wheeled, E-bike You can call a rabbit a banana. You can really want to treat the rabbit like it was a banana for legal or social reasons You can want every on else to think of your rabbit as a banana But in the end, your rabbit is still...

    Hi All

Unless you are doing a lot of big hills or a LOT of stop and go or are building a very high powered rig, I would just forget about regen. It really isn't that useful for what you get back in energy vs. the added complexity. It is effective as a break IF you are regularly riding in conditions...
