The 3kw system doesn't look that powerful. The 6kw is shaft driven (geared?) with closed loop cooling by the looks of it.

Ps. I'd take the straps off. If you didn't already. They're not position forward enough for powered board and will get in the way. Advice when learning (kite foil) is generally to take back strap off to allow back foot forward to help keep weight forward over centre of lift.

My ring was 6mm, leaving 8mm when removed. :( Could swap motor for 700kv with 8mm shaft (from my 650kv with 10mm) but wondering how easy to reshape either part, without assymetry. I think @hiorth ran the motor at speed and filed down...??? Tried taking neugart apart but think coupling is...

Strength Ok I take it? No problems with heat? I was reading that pla less good with higher temperatures and tends to decompose over time. (No experience at all with 3d printing so keen to not make rookie mistakes)

Are people 3d printing with PLA rather than ABS or other?

@dirkdiger My neugart had a 4mm insert too. Popped out after a bit of fiddling with a flat screw driver under/down side (make sure you loosen the clamp!)
