its called cogging torque. try to kick first before using the throttle. once it gets going a bit, it'll be fine.

Your battery actually looks fine. Are you sure you connected you watt meter/power analyzer the right way?

Is this battery 10s or 3s? Can't find the 10s version.

And the flexible deck setup and split enclosure really helps with the bumpy roads and carrying the deck, which I spend a lot of time doing...

Unless you want to ride your E-board like a hoverboard, a little kick before starting is no biggie. The motor will be fine even when used "unsensored."

That will depend on you ESC whether it already has BEC or not.
