    Putting together a LifeP04 battery

I am putting together a battery pack. Where is a good place to get the copper to connect the cells. Is there a % that it needs to be? Also where can I get the connectors to connect to the charger? Thanks

    BMS

I am installing a new BMS. Regarding the wires that go to each cells does it matter which side of each cell they go to? For my 36 V battery there are 13 wires for the twelve cells, where does the extra wire go to? Any other tips?

    Chargers

I have 2 chargers: 1. Soneil model 4808SRF OUTPUT: 48v DC/3.5A 2. Ping KP 6002WL Output: 60VDC @ 2A Should these chargers only be used with 48V batteries? Can either be used with a 36V battery?

    Battery

Thanks. I am using a Soneill model 48008SRF. The output is 48V DC/3.5A constant. So I guess you are saying that without using a BMS I am not getting the cells balanced & this is causing the problem. So I guess my choices are to either try to go back to using a BMS or learn how to balance my...

    Battery

Yes the battery has lost capacity. In fact both my Cyclone batteries has lost capacity. My 48V battery shows 3.3 V on all the cells, but won't turn over the motor. The total voltage on the 48 V battery shows 49.3.[ On my 36 V battery most of the cells show about 4.4 to 4.6 V, a couple show...

    Battery

6/25/11 You guys are awesome. Thanks for the quick response. In attempt to be more clear I will say that the issue is the battery doesn't seem to allow the bike to go up hills like it did a couple of months ago. Also the top end now is about 16 mph on the flat. I will check the cells...

    Battery

6/24/11 One of our batteries which is about 11/2 years old & probably has about 300 miles on it seems to have a lot of power. I tested all the cells after it was charged & they all showed about 3.3V. It is a Lifepo4. Any thoughts? It is a 36 V Cyclone battery. Also what is the formula for...

    9 Continents motor noise

6/16/11 One of our 9C motors which has about 250-300 miles on it is making a noise with each revolution. It is sort of a mix between a click & a scrape. It makes the noise whether you are peddling or not. The chain can be still & it still makes the noise. It is getting louder. It does not...

    Lifepo4 cell replacement

I appreciate the help pointing out that my Cyclone battery is Lifepo4 technology. Again my cells are green 3.2V, 51/1" long & 13/4" in diameter. I have been searching for where to buy 3 replacement cells. I prefer not to oder from China mainly because of the delay in getting them. Please...

    Lipo battery cell replacement.

Thanks so much ypedal. My batteries in my Cylone battery look like the ones on the first link you sent. They are green & appear to be about the same side. So does that meant they are lipo4? The charge to 3.2V.
