I had an interesting idea for a USB port addon for my bike

Having a bit of trouble following your description. How many volts is your battery? You might do a lot better with something like this...

PLEASE HELP I AM COMPETELY STUCK

Also, there is a way to make it save the settings. You have to check the manual, but it involves holding the button with the lock on it for a long time or both the up and down arrows or something like that.

PLEASE HELP I AM COMPETELY STUCK

There are several things going on here. 1. The 'regulator' indicates that your throttle may not be hooked up. 2. The 'reverse' indicates that you are going to turn the motor in reverse - should not be an issue though if you have the phase/halls wired to to go in reverse as this will just make...

    Gyro for controlled Wheelies

adriftatsea, it sounds like we are thinking very much the same. I still think that an arduino and this accelerometer/gyro is the way to go: http://www.amazon.com/Kootek-Arduino-MPU-6050-gyroscope-accelerometer/dp/B008BOPN40 great specs/great price/great reviews on that little baby. I would...

    Gyro for controlled Wheelies

One of the issues plaguing this discussion is that we do not have a proper set of requirements defined to wrap our heads around the same project. Since it is just stated as 'controlled wheelies' there is a lot of room for debate. You do not need the velocity of the wheel for a manual because...

    Gyro for controlled Wheelies

You are making an incorrect assumption that because I am new to this forum that I am new in these fields. I am an engineer and have taken graduate level math courses such as Linear Algebra with Differential Equations, Discrete math, numerical analysis, etc. I am fully capable of 'understanding...

    Gyro for controlled Wheelies

Agreed! I have wanted to do this for a while and was indicating that there are already a lot of machines designed to maintain a balance point on one wheel and accelerate/decelerate while doing such. (segways, solowheels, SBU, ryno, homebuilt electric unicycles, etc.) I am waiting on delivery...

    Gyro for controlled Wheelies

One solution is not much different than how these things work, right? http://openschemes.com/2014/10/30/airwheel-x3-teardown/

What's more compact then folding bike? - SoloWheel

I just ordered one. Let's get this discussion going. Anyone tried to hack the controller/sensors yet to increase the speed? Other than dismantling one, has there been any testing/experimentation with the hardware?

    Should I buy?

Wow. What on earth were they going to use all of those for?
