Lots of questions but I doubt the seller with bother answering them. I've contacted Grin Technologies and they'll help me choose a kit. Then I'll either find someone knowledgeable to install it for me or do it myself.

I have the impression that this kit was put together by the seller with parts sourced from different companies. He sells these kits but he installs them as well. The batteries he sells use cells sourced from Japan and then assembled in China.

Great post. Very informative. So if a cell is rated at 4.0V, then a 52V/21Ah battery should contain 52/4=13 cells? Or are there multiple sets of 13-cells pack that are interconnected in some way?

Look around this forum? There are thousands of threads; where should I look first? There should be a sticky with "reasonable prices" for "medium quality" kits/batteries/etc so that people know what prices to expect to pay.
