S-LCD to S12S controller communication protocol hacked

Sorry for the late reply, project got delayed for reasons. @casainho: Why 2 WD? Its the most stealthy way to pack some power onto a bike imho. Q100C and Q100H are really tiny & light motors, they don´t cry "e-bike" from first glance, but if you keep watching the temps you can feed them around...

S-LCD to S12S controller communication protocol hacked

I want to do all the computation in one place. It should be able to run in standalone mode. Will run Arduino firmware for ease of programming, the GUI on Android phone will most likely be TouchOSC or Lemur. I am really looking forward to test your custom firmware, but what you are doing right...

S-LCD to S12S controller communication protocol hacked

Thank you for the info, i even be should be able hide this inside cable. So it seems this is all I need: The project is still in early stage, did not even receive the ESP. I will try to control a 2WD bike via Smartphone. Seriously need fast 'mode switch', after this works, this is gonna be...

S-LCD to S12S controller communication protocol hacked

I am trying to control BMS battery sinewave bottle controller in a similar way with an ESP32. The UART on the ESP32 allows only for 3.3V input and output voltage. What are the voltages levels on controller and SLCD? If they are 5V, what would be the easiest way to convert?

KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW)

Hi Casainho, great to see you digging into this deeper. My BMS battery controller, lets call it S06S-B (for bottle) - I must say that its very silent and powerful once I am driving faster than maybe 10 km/h with my Q100C 201RPM. On lower speeds its sounds a bit nasty, pretty much like the...

Q100H on Fox F80 RL fork

Thank you guys for your input! It took a while, but I hold the fork in my hands right now. Its really nice built, very light and stable. Already love it. Getting ready to go 2WD soon, will keep you updated. ES rulz!

Difference between 100% nickel strips and non 100%

Just in case: No need to remove anything, you can simply weld another layer of pure nickel strips on top of the hilumin you have already. Its just that the gains you get from that might not make up for the added weight.

    BionX repair

Bionix is a pita to repair, at least on mine the controller is inside the motor - like if they said: lets put everything that generates heat inside one closed case - what could happen? As is the torque sensor that was glued onto axle with wrong glue, getting to soft when heating up, now slowing...

Q100H on Fox F80 RL fork

My old front wheel and fork got destroyed in an accident with a car, so as I have to replace it anyways its now time to mount the Q100H in the front to finally have 2WD. Do you see any problems using this fork for the task: http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/fs-fox-f80-rl edit: (the fork...

KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW)

Nice to see someone taking care of the cheap stuff from the land of china. Been reading along on ES/vedder/esk8 and you really seem to be serious about the open source. Big thumbs up! I really hope some hassle free firmware useable for people that know nothing about FOC and sh*t will grow out of...

Fat Tire Hi Power Off Road Spec Opinion or Advise

Have you thought about adding a smaller geared hub to the front wheel? While coming at low cost, money and weight wise, it might be able to literally pull you out of the mud when you need to. Something like Q100H 48V overvolted to you system voltage, limited inside controller to about 12-15A...

    Q100CST broken after 2000 kilometers

Hi guys, been driving around the last months happily with my e-bike and finally understood what it is about the grin. Sadly this has stopped all in a sudden, it started with an evil "CRONNSHH!" sound. Then the freewheeling mechanism inside the casette holder started to act fuzzy. At a certain...

    Stealth City Cruiser MTB

So, I took my time and did some more reading on ES and in other places. So much to learn! (Hope the ferrofluid method turns out useable, very tempting!!) I finally ordered and ended up with Q100C CST 201 RPM 36V and the 20A 48V sinewave controller from BMS. (Then I red about 2-speed hub..)...

    Stealth City Cruiser MTB

Thank you all for your advice! Double-clicking is something I would like to remain a windows function, and not infect my bike.. ;) So it looks like its all Q100C CST 201 RPM 36V@48V for anybody like me who wants 26 inch & rear & stealth & lightweight? Can the CST handle the BMS 20 A controller...

    Stealth City Cruiser MTB

sorry for the delay, had to do further investigations.. @motomech: This just looks perfectly stealth to me! Great!!! Very good idea with the fake disc brake, hides the obvious shape of the motor from open side. Will do it! The big tires also make the motor even look smaller. 23-24 MPH is just...
