Are Taiwanese Cyclone E-bikes ok ?

Dont get the 3kw and under kits. most of them have nylon gears which will eventually fail. If you are going to buy anything from them, buy their 6kw-8kw models w/steel gears. Just plug in your power limits via cycle analyst and your good to go. The 6~8kw kits feel extremely solid. All you need...

6KW 64V 20ah Cyclone Build with Headway Cells

I was unwrapping the bike and swapping components over to the new frame and noticed On two of the packs i did not put a vibration insulator inbetween the frame and two cells before Voltage is normal and the bikes back together working flawlessly. I unwrapped the heat insulation and there wasnt...

6KW 64V 20ah Cyclone Build with Headway Cells

It started failing at some point during the journey so its hard to tell. When i got back i noticed the left side plate of the freewheel came off and there was alot of increased side play and after rocking it side to side a couple times it came apart completely. I then replaced it with a Bmx...

6KW 64V 20ah Cyclone Build with Headway Cells

Took the bike for its first real trip today, it was about 8-10 miles there and back. The bike performed pretty flawlessly except for the suspension being a little easy to fully compress on the bigger dips. I'm sure i'll source another fork soon enough or atleast some springs. I have no idea how...

6KW 64V 20ah Cyclone Build with Headway Cells

Things i can now comment on~ -The motor is everything i wanted and then some. Its just as quiet as they claimed and it produces a mean overabundance torque. -This KIt and battery combo made for an extremely quick bike and were a huge success -The cycle analyst took a decent bit of work to...

6KW 64V 20ah Cyclone Build with Headway Cells

yeah i think there was something wrong with the 12ah 38140 cells, especially since they discontinued them.Sorry to hear about your misfortune though i could only imagine how i'd feel if it all crapped out on me this late in the game. I didnt see any of them when i went to purchase my cells...

6KW 64V 20ah Cyclone Build with Headway Cells

It's just like i was saying the last week or so, originally i did not plan on grouping cells in packs of 5S with silicone self fusing tape . Initially i planned to fasten some of the bikes cells in packs and some loose. Using the staps to make a pack can be limiting because the only...

6KW 64V 20ah Cyclone Build with Headway Cells

1 1/2 packs done, i'll finish the rest when i get the remaining self fusing silicone tape in. This stuff is excellent, its ability to stretch 300% and firmly stick to itself has guaranteed it a permanent spot on my list of useful materials, without a doubt. Had to reorder the Fiberglass casting...

6KW 64V 20ah Cyclone Build with Headway Cells

Bms wires are on. Self-Fusing silicone rolls will be here on wed-thurs. The Vetrap (self adhering bandage) and Fiberglass casting tape rolls should be in within about a week. then the rest of the bike should fly together pretty fast I'm going to silicone tape the battery pack and components...
