Will a 5ah charger used everyday on a 48v lithium battery degrade it noticeably over a 2ah charger? degrade it meaning less run time, power output etc. I have a 10ah 48v battery and it only takes 2hrs to charger on the faster charger but is it hurting the battery? Thanks :)

Hi all, is it normal for a lithium battery to drop voltage as is being used? Just one of my bikes, has a 48v 15ah battery and according to my multi meter it starts of at about 52volts but after about 20km it drops to about 48ish volts and I can feel the power drop. Thanks :)

I have a 48v 10ah battery or so I was told, but wanted a 48v 15ah battery, but the replacement battery that was shipped to me is smaller and by quite a bit. Is it possible for the larger capacity battery to be smaller? they are LifePo4 batteries I'm pretty sure. I think they are headway...

Thanks for all these learned answers, albeit a tad confusing. I'll see if I can find out more on my BMS, its a ping battery pack with the BMS outside the battery which is odd I thought. It has a line of 16 led lights on the BMS that light when the battery is full, I guess each one is a cell...

goodness so its not that simple then, I don't know what my battery is putting out its a 48v 15ah LifePo4 battery, the don't have the equipment to find out what its putting out. I don't necessarily want more speed just more torque would be nice. So if I just got a 40amp controller my battery...

I just installed a 48v 15ah 1000w front hub set up on my bike, correct me if I'm wrong but to get more power its just a matter of changing the controller to a higher out put unit? so keep everything else and just change out the controller? What are the pros and cons in doing this? Thanks :D

Oh really? I can just swap wires? that would be so much easier than flipping the wheel as Ive fitted two torque arms and zip tied all the cables neatly etc. Its just odd that its not running forward wired up correctly with colors corresponding, but damaging the controller is a worry. I did try...

Thanks guys, and dogman for all that info. I'm running it on the road only, I have a controller that makes the motor run at 2000watts, the controller and motor hardly get warm after a run and the set up is on a Basman cruiser, that's a pretty big heavy steel bike, and with the pedals so far...

I have a 9C front hub on my bike it was sold to me as a 2000w motor, what puzzles me is that on the side of the motor is a long number with letters, the following JZ36V500W110615009. Its the 36V500W part that I don't get, that must mean 36volts 500watts? but its a 2000w motor. I have a 36V 500w...

I have the above mentioned battery in a 36v 20ah pack and its been sitting on my shelf for about 18 months I haven't touched it. Would it still be ok? I want to sell it but don't want to sell anyone a dud battery. It cost me like 900 dollars. Thanks :)
