measuring voltage of a Super Soco battery ?

Hi, no, literally, the only thing on the battery is the female plug, precisely the connections seen on the plug itself

measuring voltage of a Super Soco battery ?

thanks for the reply, I know that the pos/neg show little output on the battery terminals, also the same when the wire is connected, I'm frustrated because I'm trying to learn wheat I feel is basic, but I'm struggling. I want power out of a battery, how hard can that be ?

measuring voltage of a Super Soco battery ?

yep, you can try, and its the same 'almost nothing' that you get at the actual terminals of the battery. We know the battery is good, was in use today and is half charged. Seems, probably from a safety point of view, the BMS inside the pack has those terminals turned off until it's told (or...

measuring voltage of a Super Soco battery ?

I've tried to add a photo of the battery plug, this was described to me as simply a 'charging wire' not something that's normally supplied to the end user, but the plan is to use it for another project. I know that the thin red/green wires correspond to pins 4 and 5, but that's all I know, and...

measuring voltage of a Super Soco battery ?

I have a Super Soco CPX, I'm keen to measure the voltage at the battery terminals, however theres little to nothing on the battery terminals (plug out of battery obviously) I've come across a wire from a local dealer (which he said was originally used to charge the batteries during transit) I'm...

    Choosing a BMS

Thank you very much for your reply, it's pretty much as I'd thought, is there any particular recommendation for somewhere to buy one, or just a general search online ? Thanks

    Choosing a BMS

I thought this would be an easy question for you guys, does anyone know what spec of bms to buy, or alternatively some website where I might enquire ? Many Thanks

    Choosing a BMS

Hi guys, I posted in another part of the forum previously. I'm trying to do a little project to learn battery pack building by modifying a Dyson Cordless battery pack. I'd bought a battery pack from eBay which was sold as dead. I opened it and found one leaked cell. I replaced the cell, but the...

    Battery pack layout / DIY

Ok, I'm trying to take the next steps with my mini project. The previous experimentation was with another Dyson battery pack, it was a 4 cell, similar, but this BMS circuit is different. I now have the correct layout, a faulty 6 cell, correct type pack. Disassembled, it has a knackered cell...

    Battery pack layout / DIY

Thanks very much for your help and advice. I guess that if I retain the same quantity of cells (i.e. Same voltage) then it's ok to have the second set in parallel ? It's technically still the same number of cells as far as the BMS is concerned ? (It's only really bothered about voltage ?) so I...

    Battery pack layout / DIY

I'm just reading that the circuit board is a PCB, handles protection for maximum charging voltage, maximum current drawn, guards against short circuit and cross polarity ? Do they generally also monitor cell temperature and shut off the device if the cells are getting too hot ? ...... and it...

    Battery pack layout / DIY

Hi guys, a quick question if I may. I'm trying to work on a little project of modifying a Dyson cordless vacuum battery pack, the current one is worn out, and I'd like to change the batteries to a larger size in a different orientation. The quantity of batteries will be the same, as will the...

My first post : quality and longevity of equipment

F-A.O Dogman, I've converted information from the 'fuelly' website for my own two vehicles over the last 12 months to 24 months to show that.... my 1.9td Skoda car does a mile for 0.17USD, plus all other servicing and repair costs my Honda CG 125 motorbike does a mile for 0.08USD, plus all...
