Had a bit of a win tonight.
So the Infineon Controller comes with yellow HIGO plugs for the ebrakes, and the Maguras MT5e (closers) came with red HIGO plugs.
With help from my 72 yo dad, we have found the +5v supply (red) and and determined that the controller allows for a permanent power cut...
Thanks Rix. It’s a daily commuter - I have a fairly flat 17 km (34return) journey along a bike path from home to work and this is by far the quickest way. Morning traffic causes the freeway to grind to a halt and the train requires walking to and from the station. I’ve clocked up 3000km in last...
The side panel was pre drilled actually - it came like that. All I’ve done is mount an XLR chassis plug to the panel which has a short pigtail and a pair of Anderson’s, which in turn connects to the Andersons on the battery. Exactly like PRW describes, very simple and quick.
So to remove the...
Mostly finished. Chainless but rideable and can’t wait to ride it to work tomorrow. Finishing touches like rubber grommets and ebrake switches (cancel cruise) still be done, as well as shortening the brake cables which are all tied up at the front. I’ve made the rear wheel easier to remove by...
Finished just today - ebike #2.
Well nearly. The seat is from an Electra Cruiser which became ebike #1 and will need to be changed eventually. It has no chain or tensioner yet, nor rubber grommets on the holes I added on the battery cover. I used a dremel to enlarge a couple other holes too so...
Thanks. I emailed him overnight and explained what i was hoping to achieve (Magura MT5e) and Infineon controller w/ ebrake cutoff. Hopefully he responds in the affirmative, And I'll buy them
Is this a done deal - Mt5es will not work as ecutoff where the controller (my Infineon) comes with yellow HIGO ?
Not the end of the world, but disappointing.
Question about cycles and their Zinc Air battery post above
I commute on my ebike and use 15Ah out of my 17.7Ah pack every day. So I charge at night. Allowing for holidays, I work 48 weeks per year so that's 240 cycles pa. I'm expecting around 700-1000 cycles over the life of the battery...
2 decades ???
I cycle my batteries (30q cells daily) and expect around 700-1000 cycles. I got 4 years out of my last pack but that was before I rode everyday. I only charge to 4.1v
How many cycles would you guys expect out of cells these days ?
I'm hoping someone can identify my motor. I think (am hoping) that this is a Mxus XF40 3000w motor ( from here https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=63142) which is rated for 3000W.
I think it is the 16x4T winding because the motor simulator almost perfectly matches real world...
Hi,
Build #2 has started, this will actually be more of a frame only build as the electrics will be donated by Bike #1 : https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=54149&p=1283499
Im going with Hyena's DNM suspension package and the White "Special Edition" framee - i like the side...
Same question for me. I need fenders for FUTR Beta running 26 x 2.5 hookworms. Ive found frame mounted Mudhuggers via the ES Facebook group, or am told Topeak are popular...
Can you explain this more to me ? I'm having an argument with my father (?) who doesn't believe me when i tell him I need to use 100% throttle to ride my ebike at my desired speed (20 mph). He says ' you dont drive a car flat out everywhere - be more careful and feather the throttle blah blah...
I've just bought a 14s6p pack from EM3EV using thsese cells.
I was interested in the 937 watt hours advertised.
What's the consensus ? Anything to look out for ?
