Gordo: You keep inventing a series of events with no knowledge but inaccuracies from only skimming posts.
email Aug 13: "Since I would be replacing a older motor controller .. would you include the adapter / newer plugs that mate with the motor controller I see on the web site?"
Reply: "We do...
chroot: Thank you. Ed was the first person I contacted directly after my situation .. and I purchased a controller, throttle, and and dc - dc converter.
My next purchase is a HTK hub.
Gordo: I don't think I said that .. or I wasn't clear. When I measured the voltage of the green-red-black...
Gordo: I fried 3 throttles not 4 .. and it was the third one that pointed to the problem that existed directly after the first one was burnt. It was directly after the second throttle .. which was brand new and never used .. that I realized the problem was bigger that a simple throttle...
Now I found more info ... and another reason this situation arisen.

One EBK owner posts: "I was surprised at the low quality of the connecters on my ebike kit"
and "I have personally seen 3 friend's Ebikes...
My friend has got one.
He's a 'heavy' rider .. and snapped the chain about a week into it.
There is some motor / chain / gear noise.
Haven't been riding together recently so I don't know much more
I personally don't like the 'mountain bike' feel .. but my friend doesn't mind.
dnmun: Your another case of not reading the post and commenting.
There was no sign to point to the first throttle being smoked .. It just didn't work when I turned on the bike for the first time.
It was that first time that the both the throttle and controller fried.
Since the bike didn't...
spinningmagnets: Yet another one who doesn't read the posts well.
"You noticed that the wire colors were not the same" Wrong .. they were the same.
"You could have posted here for free, to ask how to tell what unknown wires went to"
I would have if I knew about it .. or that I didn't get the...
Chroot: You continue to not read the post. I believe that if the owner of EBK emails me that he believes the color code is the same .. as listed several times in this thread .. it would be considered as being "instructed from EBK". You fail to grasp this. If the issue is the definition of...
chroot: I did test the connectors .. but it was after it didn't work. More than one person mentioned it is odd that it would have fried the hall sensor. I found no more than 4.5 VDC with the multimeter on the connections. Even the tech at E-Bike said he was working on it for two weeks with...
johnrobholmes:
I did. It was after I tried two different hall throttles that I found two sources of 4.5 VDC. but nothing higher. I'm not sure that those could have cause the hall sensor to smoke ( you may know ) ... it's almost like with the red-green shunted / connected .. it sent full power...
oatnet:
"I don't care if he told you the throttle wires were purple with Polka Dots and get plugged directly into the battery" ?
lol
Ok .. sure.
Let me understand this.
The owner of a electric bike company says "The colors underneath I believe are the same too. You should be able to figure...
I would also like to post this:
This thread has nothing to do with the new e-bike kits .. which I am sure are excellent. I like the new designed plugs .. and the kits are probably the best and easiest kit to install .. as well as priced fairly.
First of all .. I have sent many customers and had great service from e-bike until this:
First Jason Kraft ... I had no bad attitude until you would not take responsibility for sending me an email that stated "The colors underneath I believe are the same too. You should be able to figure it...
