I made the change, and after a period of frustration I arrived at settings that are way better than the Dillenger controller could provide, so yes, very pleased with the CA3 - BaseRunner combination.
I posted a thread on my journey to the settings that work, it's here...
Yeah.
If you go back far enough in the thread you will see I'm not into hillbilly solutions.
Also - good luck drawing fixed amount of power across a whole discharge with any of the hairdryer etc solutions.
And, plugging in, switching on, and setting desired load is a lot quicker than trying to...
I found a YouTube video of a guy changing the settings:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k20iQ_k224E
Notably, he gets values in the "Firmware Index Number" and "Battery Code fields".
He also gets a yellow square back, but just tries again. Didn't work for me, but I'm game to keep clicking....
Many thanks for your help, it is appreciated.
I thought I'd post some screenshots of what I see in the software.
After making the serial connection (COM6 in my case), this screen populates with the BMS details and cell voltages:
Going to the "Readparam" tab, I press "Read All", and after a...
Thanks for all the info .
I *think* that all my hardware is functioning correctly, in that I can connect, and do get status data from the device using the UART to USB cable.
The main reason I bought the thing was to be able to set the Cell Low Voltage Cutoff to values that make more sense (to...
Mine has UART and 485 ports - does that make it one of the USB types? I'm using their 3P UART to USB cable.
I've attached a picture of what I see in the PC Master screen - nothing obviously named "password" - have you found the magic translation for the field to put the password in?
And thank...
No, I have not tried any computer interface with these.
For my main use case, I am hooking two up in parallel to get a constant power load. I then use other equipment (desktop multi-meter, current clamps etc) to get any data I need.
Note that they do not have four wire capability, so any...
I have a DALY Smart BMS (10S). It is functioning correctly, in that I have it connected to a 10S pack, and it is displaying the cell voltages in the PC application (UART connection) correctly. Also, charge and discharge are fine.
My issue is that I want to change the cell low voltage cut off...
Thanks guys - good pointers to get started.
Can't print a whole battery holder and case unfortunately - printer too small.
But I can set about dividing things into smaller bits for post print joining.
Looks like my winter project has arrived :-)
That is a very kind offer, thank you.
I am even more limited in print size, with a Prusa Mini - <700mm square print area.
I'm looking to create a number of configurations up to 10S. I think a single holder cell that can clip together to make an arbitrary size might be a good option.
I use...
Off topic - your picture shows a 18650 cell holder design - are there any designs available for download that I can start from?
My search skills aren't finding any :-(
That article (conveniently?) ignores the translation from infection to serious illness. In countries with high levels of vaccination, the proportion of those infected who end up in hospital (or dead) is greatly reduced. Going on the UK data the proportion is in the order of 1:10.
Also, the...
