Clicking, hesitating, and not functioning motor

I actually think it's the batt pack. Ok. Initially the battery read 53.8v at full charge. I then applied throttle and the motor jerked. And the volts read 44.4. It's a 48v 10ah I bought off a Chinese guy (not Ping) in 2008. I've been using it pretty steady since 2009. Is this about the right...

Clicking, hesitating, and not functioning motor

Darn it. I am leaving early tomorrow morning for a week out of state. So I am going to have to get back to this upon my return, when I have some time to spend on it. I appreciate all the excellent help though...

Clicking, hesitating, and not functioning motor

It's a LiFePo4 48V 10ah. I bought it off ebay (Not Ping) and started using it in late 2008. It's possible that it is the battery, I suppose. Can I check the battery with a voltmeter?

Clicking, hesitating, and not functioning motor

I have a front wheel road runner motor on a MTB. I use a 48V 10ah LiFePo4 with a BMS. The system has been working well these past few years. Just yesterday I rode to work in the morning, and it worked great. But after work on the ride home, the ebike was not functioning properly. When I apply...

    Lost Power

That is excellent that you found a simple a low cost reason for your problem. I'm taking mine in to the ebike repair dude tomorrow evening for a complete electrical system overhaul. Looking forward to it. phr

    Lost Power

@ biohazardman: I will try to make the July 9th EV day thing downtown this year. Though it's a Saturday so we very well may be out of town. What kind of ebike settup do you have?

    Lost Power

I'm in NE PDX close to Grant high school. I ride all the way through downtown up Washington park and all the way to St vin cents hospital area. I never see any ebikes, and I have been riding for years. So the bike guy here in Portland at the Ebikestore looked at everything and surmised that...

    Lost Power

Well, Living in Portland Oregon there is a fair amount of rain exposure. I try not to ride it during particularly bad rainy days, but there has certainly been rain exposure here and there. And no, there was not anything unusual such as crashes or repairwork before it happened. Basically I was...

    Lost Power

Hello, I have a Crystalyte RoadRunner Hub Motor (4825R) on 26" front Wheel. I use a 48V 10ah LiFePo4 pack. This has been working great for 2.5 years. While riding home from work last evening suddenly something bad happened. Power to the motor was decreased about 95%. The wheel will hardly...

    Road Runner vibrates

I think I finally know why the motor vibrates. I have the road runner motor on the front wheel of a full suspension mountainbike. This means there are front forks. My sense is that the rpm's of the motor causes some sort of vibration at high torque within the front shock.

    Mounting of Crystallyte Torque Arm

Hi, I saw your post about your Crystallite Torque Arm. I am curious where you bought it? I am pretty I need one for my front wheel road runner hub motor. Thanks, Patrick praskal at gmail dot com

    Road Runner vibrates

Well, when fully charged the LiFePo4 pack rests at 57 volts. When riding, the voltage dips to the low 50's. Until a few miles into it, then the voltage sags to 47, 48 with a big load. Basically, the whole ebike settup runs just fine with good power and appropriate distance for what pack I have...

    Road Runner vibrates

I said that I had ridden 5 miles already with it. I'll test it later when it's fully charged.

    Road Runner vibrates

Ok, I went ahead and was able to connect the voltmeter contacts to the system. This was after I rode home 5 miles, so the batt pack was certainly not fresh. Right away I got a reading of 50volts at rest (48V 10ah LiFePo4 pack). I then rode up an incline, no pedaling. Upon full throttle I did get...
