Thanks heathyoung,of course that makes sense .So I`am back to trying to figure out how to replace the bad cell. Could someone tell me what I need to look for when trying to match a new cell to a battery pack.

I have a li-mn 36v 10ah battery that consists of 10 cells . One of the cells is bad but I can`t find a replacement. Would my bms be ok if I just soldered 8 cells together? thanks

thanks floatingdog in answer to your question when fully charged it records 42-43 volts.You mentioned something interesting, I would be happy to use this battery as a back-up battery with just 9 cells.I just didn`t know that I could do that.I wonder if my bms will be happy with that?

After 38 views I have not heard from anyone who knows where I could find this cell. I guess I will have to take a different approach. Could anyone tell me wow I could find (or build) any 36v 10ah cell that would work with the other 9 cells in the battery pack. I would sure hate to throw it all...

I`m real new to this but If I bypass the bms what would cause the battery to cut out at all ? Doesn`t the bms control the lvc level ? meaning No bms = no lvc = no cutting out ? Please tell me what I am missing here. thanks
