    streamline fairings?

I wish but the fellow that built it Baumm went racing over a hill and he could not see the upcoming corner or tree that ended his life. A damn shame. Otherwise we might be able to buy these kinds of vehicles today.

    streamline fairings?

Here is an idea for you to consider. A matching pair of nose cone and tail cone luggage boxes made from carbon fiber wetlayed over foam plugs. You could put one grocery bag in the front and one in the back for excellent balance. Aerodynamic, practical and could look really cool.

Converting scooter to recumbent and to electric streamliner

No luck, the engineer I called today stated every modification in the example I gave would need certification and that it could not be certified as safe. Example: Allert Jacobs feet forward motorcycle http://www.velomobiel.nl/allert/Recumbent%20motorbike.htm Reasons stated for being unsafe...

Converting scooter to recumbent and to electric streamliner

I find that the more I learn from reading about people's experiences the less I have to learn from my own attempts. This thread has been very interesting. I didn't know Kraig Shultz tried to market a feet foreword motorcycle. I was actually wondering how to start a vehicle manufacturing...

Converting scooter to recumbent and to electric streamliner

The design has fundamentally flawed efficiency and comfort. Efficiency: 100,000km of fuel costs $3,000-4,000 AUD ($2,000-2700 USD). The top box has much needed utility and offers a ~14% fuel economy improvement which will one day offset the cost of materials. A front fairing may have marginal...

Converting scooter to recumbent and to electric streamliner

Hello, I had this idea recently. My motorcycle is fuel efficient 48.8km/L but it has an uncomfortable road bike seating position which I dread since I work a physicals job. I want comfort, super efficiency and lane filtering fun! Using an existing vehicle saves thousands in red tape...

Do friction drive motors significantly reduce tire life compared to other methods?

Do friction drive motors significantly reduce tire life compared to other methods? Have motor designers been able to solve slippage issues? For example reducing power input to prevent slipping similar to how motorcycles have wheelie control.

Exhaust fan on velomobile doubling as propulsion

This is exactly the sort of information I am looking for thank you. A tightly enclosed velo (or car) can get hot so I'm looking at solving that with ventilation while benefiting performance of the vehicle. Also I am thinking the thrust produced by a ventilation fan/propeller would be excluded...

Exhaust fan on velomobile doubling as propulsion

If you have a 100w electric exhaust fan at the rear of a velomobile will you get 100w of forward propulsion? I remember exhaust fans were used in pedal car races before they were banned because the racers were getting an extra 5-6km top speed from their use. They were using rc airplane motors...

Wondering about potential of plywood velomobile

I have been watching some of his videos on Youtube. It is very interesting. I need to determine what size wood I should use for nonstructural shell. Then I can check my local suppliers.

Wondering about potential of plywood velomobile

Yes I would be welding a tadpole frame then using CNC routing company to produce the plywood body panels that I would then assemble. I don't have CNC router and CAD is not something I could get into myself despite my efforts too intuitive.

    Speed limit 25km

So that's all it is. When speed it x turn off throttle. So if you could interfere with the signal wire to turn off the throttle in an untraceable way. The perfect crime.

Detecting that the work has been done and the bike has been used by the defendant is sufficient for conviction.

    Speed limit 25km

The bike is theoretical It has an EN15194 compliant motor. Let's say it is this one. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/26-1000W-Front-Wheel-Electric-Bicycle-Motor-Kit-Conversion-E-Bike-Cycling-Hub/132103004311?epid=21031263222&hash=item1ec1f3e097:g:iWAAAOSwnO5cquMH
