Hi
I was wondering if anyone knew how to make an on/off switch for a electric skateboard. I'm kind of tired connecting and disconnecting the cables.
If possible, I'm looking for a on/off switch that will allow me switch it off without worrying the lipo batteries discharging.
Those longboads look cool. Although just be careful of the trucks. Mounting the motor is usually the most difficult part in building the electric skateboard.
Best of luck
I'm not sure what brand of trucks are they. But their roughly 10 inches wide. Bought a longboard from ebay and just recycled the wheels and trucks. Tried to cut down the longboard but I ended up throwing it away as the end product was not what I wanted.
Gear ratio is 3:1 with a 5mm pitch belt...
It costs around £250. I know, it's almost the cost of an electric skateboard in the market. However if a part breaks I can fix it myself and not a lot in the market focuses on a portable electric skareboard for that price, power and battery life.
And I like cause I built it myself.
It weighs...
Hi guys
Thought I would share my build with you guys, since I got most of the information from this forum. I was mainly focusing on a board that I can carry around and making it as light as possible.
Deck
The deck is about 26 inches (as you can see its crudely built). I am happy with the size...
Hi
I am really happy with the GT2B controller. However, I find the trigger is a bit sensitive. This especially becomes hard when trying to just cruise in a certain speed. I was wondering if anyone has solved this problem? (e.g. like putting rubber or a spring behind the trigger for...
So if i was looking to replace my lipo batteries (2x 5000mah 20C 3s) with lifePo4 which ones would I need to purchase from hobby king?
Any suggestions?
IT'S ALIIIVVVEE.....
I was able to solder it on. Didn't have any shrink rap but was able to use some electrical tape to cover the 4mm female connectors :)
Just used the existing wires the ESC Ezrun Max8 supplied with and soldered some 4mm female connectos to connect it with the 4mm male...
I wish I was at that stage.
Still having trouble connecting the ESC to the motor.
Tired soldering 4mm female connectors to the wires it came with (8mm male connectors) however the wire was too thick!
How were you able to connect the ESC (which has 8mm female connectors) to the Turnigy Motor...
Ok just received my esc from hobby king.
But it looks like the hobbywing ezrun has a 8mm female connector and my motor only has 4mm male plugs.
My question is there any way of connecting a 4mm male plug to 8mm female hole? (Maybe with some kind of adapter) and without the need of soldering any...
Can I use this esc for the above motor and battery?

And is it as simple as attaching the dean connectors from x2 3s battery to the esc?
Hi
I was hoping to connect my ESC to the lipo. My ESC has 4mm connectors and my lipo has dean connectors.
I don't own a sole ring iron so I was hoping just use a connector. I was wondering if this would work...
I'd love to build an VESC...however I don't have the time or the knowledge on how to make one (its hard enough trying to convince my wife that I need an electric skateboard).
Might see what Enerion releases.
