To the "Quiescent current" part - it is a more thoughtful approach to introduce a configurable disconnect timer, rather than than pinch pennies trying to extend a shelf-life of a battery with a hooked-up BMS, IMHO. What is BMS going to do if it senses a battery voltage going down ? Zilch...

Not so easy to achieve (<0.28) drag efficiency and still have room for five people and a battery pack in a sub 30K car. The whole "looks thing" is very subjective, to me Tesla looks like a stepped on Viper. Once you learn of Leaf's "peculiarities", it is actually alright and at 45mPh it can go...

So anybody with success wiring any CA to a Leaf? In summary: Shunt is a no-brainer, but Voltage Divider with a shared ground is a complication, right?

The bike has been parked for a while, wiring got chewed up. The motor is a first gen, no frills, no disk brake plate. Now that I have to rewire most of it, should I use the old upgraded 4840 (traces, shunt, MOSFETs, regen button, CA tap) or switch to the Mini-E? Why? (a link will do) :)...

Test your brake connections, look at sensors, should be no continuity when idle (lever not pressed). Both of them inhibit controller's output when applied (continuity). If nothing works contact me directly, I might have a spare 24v controller on the shelf.

One thing that I've noticed, the new MOSFET "bled off" the static charge from the gate fairly quickly, performing this test: The DMM just flashed a value indicating there was a short circuit, then immediately showed an open circuit, without me removing the static charge. Is this characteristic...

Better be a fat diode to dissipate ~10W.
