    Switch mode supply mod

Hmm, don't really get it anymore. if i use a 24 and 48V power supply, i need to tune down the current from the 24V unit, or tune up the current from the 48V unit, in order to level the current.. I do that by adjusting the shunts/resistors. Or use 2 48V supplies, and tune down the voltage...

    Switch mode supply mod

So i understand that using one 24V and one 48V will solve the problem, but because of the current difference, i need to make some changes to the shunts?

    Switch mode supply mod

Hi guys, Question, I want to charge 60V of LiFePo4. Is it more easy to do it with 2 24V power supplies, which i crank up to ~34V if possible. Or is it better to get 2 48V power supplies and tune down to ~34V each? Kind regards, Sjoerd

    Switch mode supply mod

Hi guys, i've red the last few pages, but didn't really get very far.. my plan is to use a meanwell rsp-1000 PSU to charge my 72V40Ah pack. would this be possible? and what modifications do i need to make. i've red that this is a CCL type so it should be possible. i'm worried about the 72V...

gary, do u have the final dimensions of the board allready, so i can give the V4 bms a nice location in my 3D build? thanks in advance

    Terminating the 15Ah and 20Ah Cell-Man cells

allright, i like the way you look at terminating them though. another question. the 20Ah cell is 165*227*6.9 if i'm correct. the height (227mm) is it from bottom cell to upper tab, or effective cell chemistry ( bottom cell till upper hard part), or is it measured from bottom cell till end...

Even Newer 4 to 24-cell Battery Management System (BMS)

for the guy's who have a DC/DC or seperate 12V circuit, powering the 5V fan from this circuit using a resistor would work wouldn't it?

    Terminating the 15Ah and 20Ah Cell-Man cells

peter, arent't you worried about vibrations? i can imagine tabs can vibrate a lot more with a loose connection, than when they are fixed..

    Terminating the 15Ah and 20Ah Cell-Man cells

here you can see the terminal, pretty basic. lower brass has wired tapped, upper brass not. both therminals have holes in them, which allows the bolts to go through them. these bolts also clamp the bars together. sides of the bars are angled so it wont harm the terminal as you can see in my...

    Terminating the 15Ah and 20Ah Cell-Man cells

that's how i am going to do it. plastic spacers are manufactured with water-cutting, and leave 2 mm between cells. on the side a fan is installed creating an airflow between the cells. cells are connected with 2 brass bars with the terminals between. housing is an angled aluminium box...
