    A2B Metro - www.ultramotor.com - Video Page4

I have been getting more agressive in my riding on my metro, vs staying off in the side lane I'm started taking the middle of the lane in areas where I feel less safe riding. <rant>I had a guy in an AT&T car cut off last week while I was going full speed fwd and he jumped in front of me making a...

    A2B Metro. What price??

$1625 is fair for both of you. The extra battery itself costs $650 in addition to the metro of around $2600. It is hands down probably the best pre built ebike on the market even at it's retail price. Plus it's really fun to ride. Sorta somewhere between a beach cruiser and a BMX bike with...

Went for a ~20+ mile ride today all over town in no one direction on my metro. Ended up taking both batteries on the trip but did not burn either one down too far. Thank the deities for google maps on the andriod enabled phone or I would still be lost. I rode for a while on the primary battery...

The same charger can charge both batteries, however you must charge them independently of each other (or at the same time with 2 chargers). The rear pack has it's own socket and power button which turns blue when on. (sorry for the low res)

It's a ~11.1AH 36V Lithium-ion battery. The internal one should be about the same. Buy it! It's a well designed ebike with attention paid to so many of the little details that make it worth every penny.

    Safety

You indirectly raise a good point here. A simple mirror would go a long way towards my safety quite a bit. Looks I can find vendor driven parts for this ebike. The UM Excel http://www.gizmag.com/ultr-motor-a2b-excel-pedal-less-electric-scooter/13129/ scooter has turn signals and brake lights...

    Safety

I travel about 13 miles a day in city traffic and pass a few major highway intersections. I have front and rear catseye lights that I switch to blinking modes when I ride in the day. In some of the areas I ride it's very stop and go and I want to let the cars near me know what I'm doing as I...

Found out it's useless in the US. It turns out it's for the EU models that are limited to 15mph and the button just brings it up to the 20mph range.

Here is another little interesting snippit I found online while doing more research. Seems some Metro's have an OffRoad-Boost button right next to the throttle. Anybody know if that is a feature of the EU/pedal assist bikes? Or if controler just dumps more unregulated amps into the motor...

The A2B kickstand has dual springs on the left hand side. It's branded "YING CHENG Twiwan" (same maker?). Black and silver philips nut set.

Maybe. But you know you want it anyway. :) No really I think it's the motor we might be after. Just got off the tele with the local A2B dealer. Sadly he can't get the parts for this yet. I added the extra rear bat pack. Local dealer hooked me up. It required an upgrade to the rear shock to...

After doing a bit of research there might be a clean upgrade solution for us A2B users. This spring UltaMotor is due to release it's A2B-Excel which uses 2 batteries. A 48V in frame with a 36V on the rear rack. The back battery charges the front battery (IDEP), and it's all pumped into a rear...

The optibike seems to be targeted at the very rich with nothing better to spend money on. If you watch some of the vids on the site, you can tell it's designed really well. Another ebike probably out of reach of the masses will be the...

I've read many ypadal threads on these fourms in the past. Cool to see you picked up a metro. I picked up a silver metro myself from a local dealer @ http://www.elvmotors.com few weeks ago after researching for months. He gave me a good deal and threw in a few extras, I've been really pleased...
