Alright guys, I'm totally happy with my ebike setup using 15 multistar batteries in series to up the voltage to 84v but when I try to charge everything I have to unplug all the batteries and use three parallel boards which take quite some time. Is there an elegant way of using switches to switch...

What about this? Another scam? "Regenerative acceleration generator"
I think I'm getting 7 50w mono solar panels....one at the front, two at top of the bike, two at the back at 90 degrees, and a small trailer for the last two panels as well as hiding my six 12v18ah lead acid batteries in parallel. I have a tristar 45amp solar controller which I'm going to connect...
I read it, but it doesn't hurt to ask some questions....
Solar panels it is then! I'm forgetting the wild ideas about wind turbines and hub generators :( ...or maybe a sail bike....ehehe
Allright, I'm convinced that an extra hub motor will not work....I might as well use my 200w solar panels to charge my extra battery on the go.....
Quick question.......how about hooking up a PMA (permanent magnet alternator) instead of a hub motor to charge the second battery? Would that...
How about this PMA instead of the hub motor? Looks really interesting

This guy has done the test for me :) It was much harder to spin a 350w motor by hand but much easier on a 1000w motor. He said max out (pedaling) he was pushing around 30v.

That is a good idea. I have a watt meter on my lcd3 display....if I sustain 400-500w on my drive (maybe around 30km/h), have a 200w solar panel and see how much I can squeeze from the second motor (maybe 200w?) it might work....have to experiment more and report back
Well, I have the extra motor sitting here (its for a customer) so I might as well do it and report back my failure rather than have these questions float in my head :)
Here is the rough idea....has anybody actually tried this in real life? I'm not after overunity here, it seems like a good idea to charge the lead acid batteries while you are out so you can charge the second lipo pack while you drive ( over here its sunny 300 days a year) plus use the extra...
