Cheap motor to push a Go-kart 30mph with 72v lipos

Glenn, your advice has been incredibly helpful! So I'd say you are absolutely right about figuring out rpm before ordering parts. These cheap motors just have such a wide range (4900 rpm continual, 5900 max), that I'm not really sure they are dependable figures. It seems kind of moot though...

Cheap motor to push a Go-kart 30mph with 72v lipos

Thank you Glenn! I appreciate the response!! It certainly helps, but I am not quite grasping all of it. Are you suggesting that I... 1) use the 60v motor with my QS 80 amp controller along with 72v lipos, or 2) that I use the 60v motor along with the cheap controller it comes with, paired with...

Cheap motor to push a Go-kart 30mph with 72v lipos

I already have an e-bike, so I am craving a 4 wheel kart build... I have a little kart frame here, and I only want to go 30-35mph. My plan is to buy a Vevor type 72v brushless motor kit ($250 on Amzn), then attach a 60 tooth sprocket on a live axle. I will power this motor with the 72v lipo...

16,000mah lipo packs, help me pick from two charging options

Yea, thats why I kind of thought individual chargers for each pack would be simpler yet "smarter", just at the expense of a slower charging time. And thank you so much for posting those specific model links! I will definitely look at them. Appreciate the input.

Best controller to use with qs 205?

The ebike builder who I purchased my qs-205 v1 kit from, included the QSYK7280 controller, good for up to 72v/90 amps. Now I thought that would be too big, but, the controller is bluetooth programmable and can adjust power output on the fly. Currently my controller is programmed for 60% output...

16,000mah lipo packs, help me pick from two charging options

I have done all I can to figure things out on my own. I am looking for confirmation. 1) I have not found feedback from those using cheap 100w chargers to fill 16k packs. I also have seen to match ah to amps, so thast 16amp charger, which is above that one, so I felt unsure. So I asked if they...

16,000mah lipo packs, help me pick from two charging options

So I have (3) individual 6s 16k mah lipo packs for my first ebike that I am putting together. I have it narrowed down to 2 options, just seeing if one is clearly better then the other and making sure they both will work. Opinions on my 2 trains of thought would be GREATLY appreciated...

Help me pick a motor for my 26x3", 150mm dropout DH bike (goal 35mph)

So I am still holding off on buying my battery, but I am pretty sure I have narrowed it down to running 4, 4s lipos in series to make a 16s (60v) 20ah battery. Was ready to pull the trigger, but I am realizing now, that I am not educated enough about how to charge these high cap lipos. I need to...

Thoughts on these Turnigy Lipos (60v 20ah pack)

So HK has a great price on the 4s 20,000mah blue Turnigy lipos, only $120 a piece. I would like to series connect 4 of them to make a 20ah 60v pack for only $480 dollars. I was set on these packs, but I'm realizing I dont know whats involved with charging this high capacity of a lipo...

Help me pick a motor for my 26x3", 150mm dropout DH bike (goal 35mph)

Well I talked to a high power bike builder today. He has built many bikes with the QS and Mxus motors and I've seen many of his videos on youtube. When I mentioned that I wanted to use a triangle 52v battery from UUP on ebay, he told me to avoid that, as the "3k motors draw will trip the cheap...
