I am not running brake sensors. How would that change my configuration?

I followed the video link provided with the you tube video series. The only thing I didn't do was to mix up the wires like he did. I got a confirmation verifying a good upload. If there is a better set of directions to follow I would love to see them!

Okay, so I've performed all the checks and even switched wires to make sure we were wired correctly. Still nothing but 8's on the LCD
