That thing is gorgeous, well done.

    Giant AC-E / GNG

I'm pondering parting this bike out. A (potential) new office that's a couple of km from home means I don't need something quite so industrial strength to get me to work so I'm condensing my bike stable and will be rolling there under my own steam. It is certainly a solid performer (has lugged...

    GNG, 1000W 48V BB-drive, $400

1171.6km? Unless someone has a faulty throttle and theirs actually runs at 450w, then that title is likely to be yours for a LOOONG time. That's a decent 20% tooth strip job though! My first one stripped (like yours) , second one snapped, third one cracked, half snapped then stretched... Now...

    GNG, 1000W 48V BB-drive, $400

Those both look great. You can add the Kona Cowan DS to that list if you're not opposed to a 2nd hand frame. However also doesn't have a 100mm bb.

Without an angled blade, what part of the motor would those paddles actually be cooling? Seems like an odd design, but was the inside of that case profiled in any meaningful way? Maybe this is expecting incoming airflow from a particular direction(?) and this is more about creating turbulence...

    Giant AC-E / GNG

Love the Cannondale! I bet that snaps necks! That drop-off on the downhill is a killer - I can feel my suspension compresssssssing through there and the bike can get a bit of a shimmy happening with the rack weight (I've been known to cart a 6 pack home) I'm always on the bell just before the...

    Giant AC-E / GNG

HAHAHAAAAA ohhh thats beautiful. I've often wondered whether I've left people in a fit of rage, but never stuck around to see. I did think I was being tailed pretty hard down the hill too! I distinctly remember those roadies on the left - slowed right down for them. Nice work :)

    GNG, 1000W 48V BB-drive, $400

LR those belts and pulleys are looking like a great upgrade. Do you foresee any crank arm clearance issues with the additional few mm? Even though I see gears and some bevels, that doesn't look shift-friendly - is it intended to be? (Compared to the usual pinned / ramped setup) I've gone...

Get the matching grip for the other side if you get a Magura. Some vendors bundle this, but I think it's worthwhile to have controls feel the same. I like mine a lot. Has performed flawlessly so far after the mod posted (thread linked to above) by denisewa.

Monzilla - BURNED IN LIPO FIRE AUGUST 11

Posting since this thread has a fair bit of lipo fearing / endorsing traffic. I charge / discharge my HK lipos in a liposack - http://www.liposack.com/products.htm Products like this shouldn't make you complacent about keeping an eye on things, but seem to contain a mishap pretty well if you...

    Recommendations for Carbon MTB Conversion

On a carbon frame I'd suggest mid drive too, although my GNG v1 is far from light. But im using a heavy bike to start with. Perhaps the lower power bafang drive may suit and you can work with your gearing for torque. http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=50104 Or (if you're...
