It seems determining the state of batteries is some kind of default exercise. Car mechanics have a way of testing batteries - we need the same for ebikes instead of guessing - imho.

I very much agree with you. The suppliers need to offer easy to follow instructions for what the leads are for what and how to correlate them with your old controller. What we're dealing with is electronic nerds:)
