These are not kids toys. Electrified big wheel scooters are proper transportation devices for grown ups. The great thing about them is their simplicity, there is so little to go wrong. No gears, no chain, etc etc. I have several e-bikes and they are great, but I have to be constantly adjusting...

I also forgot to mention, I attached a tow hook to the back so I can tow a trailer with it. Then I can go to the shops and take the recycling away without having to use the car.

It's a thought, but I didn't want to spend money on parts if I could avoid it! :) I did it as an experiment to start with then it worked so well I left it alone. It looks weird, but it's a massive improvement. Probably with optimal parts it could be made to look better. Keeping your weight back...

Here is my "Super Scooter" It is built from an Osprey Apogee: It's a very cheap 26" front 20 inch rear scooter. Electric scooters are illegal in the UK, so I bought it there and brought it with me to Scandinavia, where electric scooters are legal and did the conversion. Ospreys are cheap...

But will it be for all classes of e-bike, or just ones that can exceed 20 mph?

I see :) I am thinking about taking a couple of front callipers and combining them by making a "T" connector, so they connect to a single brake lever. When there are two paths I wonder how easy it is to bleed down. I suppose you have to bleed one arm and then the other and hope nothing floats...

New brakes look good, how easy is it to bleed the system down?

I see your point. I have gone around in circles for years trying to decide what to do and in the end not built anything. Having a shell on a frame gives excellent flexibility, but I worry how easy it is to keep the weight under control. So many of these designs I've seen have rapidly ended up at...

What are your thoughts on not having a frame at all, but having a monocoque body which everything bolts to? If you are going to have a protective body anyway, would it end up being lighter?

I've seen steering dampers being sold by several sellers in China for the KMX. Do you think they are any use, or just extra dead weight?

I put my bike into a warm place when I get home, but not too warm then give it a couple of hours before I re-charge. Yes, would like to make it easier to remove, but that means designing and making a new mounting system - which I should of done during the summer when the weather was warmer :)
