1970 Yamaha R5 "Rust Bucket" Build

11/23/15 Not too much has been happening because of the holidays and waiting on parts. As parts come in I'll continue the project and posting updates. I've redone all the blinkers and tail light with nice bright LEDs and installed a fuse box. Parts on order: Wolo mini Horn ...

1970 Yamaha R5 "Rust Bucket" Build

10/18/15 Got a "new" seat, front end with working suspension, changed from front drum to disk brakes, and assembled everything for a test fit. I think I'll keep the white instead of chrome, doesn't look too bad. 10/23/15 New brakes came in today. The brake handle comes with an integrated...

    Excelsior/Strong GTS Cromotor Build

Awesome build! It's making me want to pick up a Cromo. I have a 74v 40a mini-Kelly with the same hardcase batteries. What's the average speed and range I could expect on 20s 10Ah?

    Looking for cheap Lifepo4

Thanks Ypedal for clarifying. My mistake, I thought the format for continuous and peak was xc/xc. I mean I need 4c continuous and 10c peak. Yup headways are what I'm looking for, I'm just trying to find if there's a deal out there where I could get them cheaper than 19$ ea. I've been looking...

    Trouble keeping cells ballanced.

It's weird I just did another capacity test on the 4sGM cell 3 and it's at 9.9 Ah. I'm going to do a capacity test on 4sHW cell 3 next... I might have been shipped a dud? Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I'd rather stay away from LiPo. I know they're cheap and powerful, but they have to...

    Trouble keeping cells ballanced.

Ya right now my sag under a full load of 25a for my whole pack is about 10v, 71v full charge to 61v then back up to 66v. I'd like to go with LiPo but I don't trust myself and don't have an option for a proper safe charging setup. I've got the 6s packs charging right now and will be able to...

    Trouble keeping cells ballanced.

I'm using the discharge function of the HK as a 5A load. I'm not trying to find the most accurate or actual IR. I just need a baseline to know the overall health of my cells compared to each other. I suppose I could connect my cycle analyst and see exactly how many amps and volts I'm testing...
