New TSDZ2 750W 48v motor power cuts out intermittently

[NEVERMIND] The motor cut out on me again today and no amount of fiddling with the speed sensor would get it to start providing power again... sigh.

New TSDZ2 750W 48v motor power cuts out intermittently

[Possibly SOLVED] I got a reply from tongsheng support that the speed sensor can scramble the motor if the magnet is too close to the sensor. I had already moved the sensor as far as possible from the magnet. However, this time I took apart the entire sensor so I could move it even farther...

New TSDZ2 750W 48v motor power cuts out intermittently

I added a new TSDZ2 750W motor with 48v 17ah battery to a bikes direct windsor with carbon fiber fork. I love the build. It is super light weight, powerful, and incognito. Unfortunately, I am facing a problem that has me going crazy. The motor will stop adding power randomly. Once this issue...

    Lock-ring to fit tsdz2

Hello, I seem to have lost the lock ring on my tsdz2. Ive mounted it without this silver ring screwed on but I would prefer to have the support of a lock ring. Anyone know where I could get a replacement? Or do you know another solution solution to keep the motor secure? The lock-ring I am...

    TSDZ2 750W intermittently losing power

Battery meter always shows full (except for the few good rides I've had on it where I've managed to drop the meter to like 80%). There isn't any indication something is wrong other than the motor suddenly stops providing assistance.

    TSDZ2 750W intermittently losing power

I have a new 750W 48V TSDZ2 (purchased from ebird w/ VLCD2 display) but I am having issues with the motor losing power seemly randomly. The display remains on with no error messages but the motor just stops providing assistance. Sometimes the power drops mid-ride and it wont start up again for...

TSDZ2 Strange Behaviour - How to debug/identify the issue?

Did you ever figure out what was causing this issue. My bike is still having problems. It rode great for about 200 miles and then it started cutting off power intermittently again. Removing the speed sensor won't fix it. Do you think maybe it could be mistakenly sensing the brake levers? I...

TSDZ2 Strange Behaviour - How to debug/identify the issue?

I've gone on a few more test rides. The issue with needing extreme pressure was solved by not putting feet on the pedals when turning on the motor. However, the issue with motor power cutting out is still occurring. If I unplug the speedometer or remove the magnet the motor does not provide...

TSDZ2 Strange Behaviour - How to debug/identify the issue?

That is crazy - I just took my new 750W 48V TSDZ2 (purchased from ebird w/ VLCD2 display) out for its first ride today and I am having nearly identical problems. For the first mile everything seemed to work as it should. Then I noticed the motor was cutting out for a few seconds causing my ride...

Amazon purchased system failing after 2 weeks

Hello, I am posting this for a neighbor as the problem seems beyond any easy solutions I could come up with... The ebike kit that we put together was made from a 1000w rear hub motor and an 11.6ah 48v Panasonic battery. The problem that I have been having specifically is this: recently, (in...

    Bafang 750w too powerful?

Thanks for all the great replies guys! I like to tinker with things so I may order a cable. But I'll try the 10 levels of assist too.

    Bafang 750w too powerful?

I am used to riding a TSDZ2 500w bike with a 10AH 48v battery. I recently built a BBS02b 750w bike with a 14ah 48v battery. My problem is that the Bafang seems to provide power in large short segments. While the TSDZ2 was more of a smooth ride with power equally provided as I pedaled, the...

    A 1982 Raleigh 10 speed with TSDZ2 mid-drive

I just built a similar bike with the TSDZ2 mid-drive 500w motor and a 48v 10ah battery. I was planning to convert my Gravity Avenue from Bikes Direct ($269), but after removing the crankshaft I realized the crank hole had a blockage that made the motor ever so slightly too large. I also learned...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I just bought a TSDZ2 mid drive motor ($290+shipping) with a 48v 10ah battery (185+shipping) to build my first ebike. I have two bikes and I'm having trouble choosing which one gets modified. Would you guys recommend I use a Giant Escape 2 ($300 used) or a Gravity Avenue FX ($269)? Any tips...
